Please don't bring Gloom and Doom, Gripes and Swipes, or anything of that sort into this thread. My time down here will shortly be over, and so, I suspect, will yours Just%20Kidding.gif . And when I am lying on my bed awaiting that final moment, I shall look back at it all and think, "yes, it was fun and I enjoyed it immensely!"

So, it's off to meet this guy's sister.

I like to do touch and gos beforehand just so I can polish my hand before the meeting with sis. Here is the Cub on Final to Sand Point:

This was the first time I saw the guy's sister, so I took a picture as a souvenir:

You've got something I want - isn't that what we all tell the girls? :lol:

Then, after a quick approach (I almost kissed the peak, it was that close!), I got the prize and raced down to King Cove for another t-and-g:

Off I went - turn into Final at Cold Bay:

Parked the Cub and was done for the day. But, I just can't understand how people can live in such God-forsaken places. Could it be ... the high salaries? :lol:

Wow. I missed today's cache. Looks like fun all right!

After driving around in the summer, I always meant to visit Alaska in the winter just to see what it would be like. I loved it there and have, on occasion, looked at job openings. After living all my life in Chicago, the differences seemed appealing. I would miss the great food in Chicago...

I did find a really great Mexican restaurant in Fairbanks, and a great place for chili cheese dogs on the highway south of Denali, but I would probably miss the great variety of a place like Chicago or NYC.

I would probably miss the great variety of a place like Chicago or NYC.

That's going to be true no matter where you go. While there may be a few large cities to rival Chicago's variety, there's probably no where on earth to rival NYC.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;

It's only the light version of the aircraft without a VC.. He moved the eyepoint back into the fake external cockpit to make a makeshift VC.

Well now I have the VC Cub I`ll be doing CaptSensible`s Flying Wild in Alaska flightmaps. So plenty to still keep me busy.

Oh I'm definitely going to keep at it with Flight. There's still a lot of fun to be had out there.

There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.
