O.K. I have found out what i was doing wrong with GSX, so now my next problem is with my F.O. He refuses to do as he is told Rolling%20Eyes.gif , if i use any command from the examples in the AUTOPILOT cmd. rtf, he will only add the value and not set "to" that value.

For example if i say "Select Airspeed 250", he will add that value to the present speed. Or "Select Flight Level 5000", he will add 5000 to what my altitude already is and the same for heading degrees.

How do i get my F.O. to set my altimeter to a specific altitude or my speed to 250 knots?

Thanks,

Rick Hobbs

hi Rick,

Glad to hear you made some progress....did you download Dan's flow and scripts??? The beauty of MCE is that you can make your own scripts for the First Officer to perform.

In the NGX is even easier as it has an SDK and the FS++ team can add more functionality if people want it.

Try saying "set speed to 250"...leave a small half-second pause between the "to" and the "250".

or just "speed 250" or "flight level 5000"..you are not restricted to use the same words again and again, you can try different things

Thanks Will. For some reason, on my last short hop he did as he was told.

I can only assume that things got a bit corrupted, as i am doing a lot of fiddling and experimenting on each flight as i learn what i am doing wrong, but i am getting somewhere.

Hi Rick,

Have the same problem with altitude.

When i say altitude 5000 he understands 500.

So to prevent that i always say altitude five zero zero zero.

That works for me.

Hey John. I seem to have lost that problem (at least i think so). As i said i think i ended up corrupting that flight with all the fiddling and experimenting.

However, i think that the more you use this software, the better the voice recognition gets, especially if you do a little speech training between flights.

I must say though that i think this is a fantastic add on.
