FS9 PC

Featured Replies

Hey Guys,

I am new to the forum and have a couple questions on my new PC coming in very soon. I have dedicated myself to FS9 as I have played it love it and LOVE addons for FS9. Anyways, I wanted to get an opinion on my new PC and how well you think it would run FS9 with max settings loads of addons and of course and nice payware plane such as iFly. Here are my specs:

3rd Generation i5-3450 Quad-Core @ 3.1 GHz (with TurboBoost 2.0 to 3.5GHz)

4GB Ram DDR 3 @1600 MHz

Intel HD Graphics 2500

500 GB 7200RPM Sata Hard Drive 3GB/ps 16mb cache

Windows 7 Premium 64-Bit

You should not have any problems except that there is no anti-aliasing with the onboard graphics chip and the AA in FS9 does not work.

You will see what are called jaggies, sawtooth-like edges to straight lines.

You really need an addon graphics card.

regards,

Joe

Awesome! Good to hear! May I ask what kind of a graphics card you reccomend? I am looking for the great visuals part as i do expect good frames. My old 2.4 could grab a solid 28. So now im shooting for a locked 30FPS with great graphics!

Thanks!

I'll tell you the answer here!

Go for nVidia - they are the best. I have a setup very similar to yours and I have an nVidia 560 GTX Ti which I absolutely love.
