August 5, 201213 yr I made a search regarding this topic and found quite a number of threads on AVSIM and elsewhere but failed to find a single clear answer, either because it relates to REX which I don't have, or because solutions when found were not explained... As the title implies, I cannot see any light on the ground in front of my MD11 cockpit. I do NOT have REX but AS 2012 and I did not install any freeware plane other than the WOAI aircraft. Could anyone share a solution to that problem please?

August 5, 201213 yr Can you please check (in external view) if the landing lights are shifted maybe 300 feet to the left or right, forwards or backwards away from the plane. John Rubens

August 6, 201213 yr When in outside view all lights are where they are supposed to be on wings and fuselage. I believe Jonathan is referring to the actual light "cones", not the "bulbs". Are there any drawn left, right, aft, or forward of where they should be? ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
August 14, 201213 yr When in outside view all lights are where they are supposed to be on wings and fuselage. Hi Jean Claude, is it working already? If not, I can take a look tonight and sent you my cfg setting. If you compare it with your own, maybe you find a difference. And of course a support ticket is always handy ^_^ . Regards Eric Eric van Dorp
August 14, 201213 yr Author Nope Eric, not working yet, I am fighting with the effect folder that, I am told on the support ticket precisely, must have been affected by one of my software (the problem is which one), so any additional help would indeed be welcome! Perhaps your effect folder would be the best assistance since it looks like it is where the culprit is. Thank you! Regards

August 14, 201213 yr Thanks so much Eric, have a good evening! I wanted to sent you two files The MD11 aircraft.cfg ( you can look at the light section) And the effect folder part of the MD11. But AVSIM don't give me permission to attach it (even as .rar file) Can you PM your email adres? I sent it directly to you. I remember two things, maybe it can help. I had a problem with the smoke effect. (houses, industry). I reinstalled ( in fact repaired FSX) and the problem was over. And I had a problem with the ND of the MD11. Reinstalling didn't work, but when I de-installed and de_installed all the liveries and installed it back again the problem was over. Good luck with it Eric Eric van Dorp
August 14, 201213 yr Jean-Claude, AS 2012 does the same thing as REX to aircraft. Change the light theme in AS to standard and you should be back in business. Branton Turner
August 15, 201213 yr Author Thank you Branton, this did the trick, I would not have guessed that AS2012 would have taken the same route as REX! Thank you Eric files well received. Great help, happy landings!
