August 25, 201213 yr Gday Just curious if any of you know if the 777s cockpit is the same as say the 767 or 757, 747, i saw a picture of the 777 cokpit, and it looked like a 747minus 2 engine controls, the pic was at a distance so i couldnt see much detail. Id like to start practicing on a big twin,( love the sound of those BIG turbines) thanks for any help Jeff jeff atkinson
August 25, 201213 yr The 777 main panel resembles the 747-400 more than the 767&757 panels. You gotta remember there's quite an age difference between the 777 and the 767 & 757. It should not be too hard to find decent pics on the internet.
August 25, 201213 yr Author Thanks a lot ill have a look around, like many im really, really looking forward to the 777. Jeff jeff atkinson
August 25, 201213 yr No in actual fact the 767 and 777 are familiar, mainly on the overhead and the pedestal. The 747's overhead is quite different. The 777 is very clean and simply automatic. The 767 is more 'manual' than the 777. I used to fly the LDS 763 preparing for the 777 but I bought the NGX and now I can't 'downgrade'. Trying to fly the LDS now is just too hard ha. Oh and the 757/767 flight decks have virtually no differences. You get type rated on both in the real world ;-) - Luke Pabari

August 27, 201213 yr The 767-400 has an identical cockpit as the 777, the only differences are the pedestal and the overhead, the 767-400 keeps its original pedestal and overhead. Sanjin O.
