I'm starting a new thread that I opened a year ago, and is now out of date. I'm still looking for a solution to the "flashing" problem that occurs when changing views using the EZdok camera, and it occurs when using the NGX and ENB programs together. I know I saw a message from Word Not Allowed where he said "I leave the SB transponder open in FSX, I get no flashing when using NGX+EZCA+ENB." I'm not certain of what he's saying here, is this an NGX setting or an FSX setting? Anyway, I've been without ENB since the NGX was released, and I really want to make use of it again. Thanks for any replies.

Wish I could help, but I use the NGX together with EZCA and ENB and haven't had any issues. Perhaps you could list your computer specs and video driver version as a start for troubleshooting.

 

Perhaps Word Not Allowed was referring to the online connection tool, Squawkbox?

Interesting, I thought it effected everyone with that addon combination...apparently not. I've got a nVidia card with current drivers, and the problem occurs with both old and newer drivers alike. I guess for me it's still a no go.

I have the same combo, NGX, EXDok, and ENB and mine flashes when the NGX goes thru the initialization process but after that is fine. I just set the ENB ini in the UseEffect=1 to UseEffect=0 that way it doesn't flash during initialization. Once done I just hit Shift F12 to turn ENB back on and I dont usually get any flashes after that when changing views or other scenarios.

When ever i use ENB i get black screen when selecting MAP or anything that has to do with menu's . I thought it was menu crashes issue but its not . Because fsx doesn't crash when the screen turns black i can always listen to my engines running in the background but there is just black screen i can't see nothing . I try running fsx with out enb an everything runs perfect. But i do want to use ENB but i can't find any solution no where else .

What happens if you turn ENB off prior to the going into the map or menus and then go back to the flight does it still cause the black screen?

It still happens . But not with the original ENB series MOD. When i use Tim's ENB series it looks to bright sometimes an not like how it looks on VISTA . I notice a difference Tims ENB Series has three parts that you need to drag to the main fsx folder , but the original ENB Series Plugin only has two . I don't know if it makes a difference but am testing it out to see what happens. All i know the main error i get is the black screen issue with engines running but no crashes . It is the most strange thing i have ever encounter in FSX . Normally some crashes gives out signs or error code the problem here is fsx doesn't crash.

Tim's "bluesphere" ENB (with palette) is my favourite.

I find that it enhances the colors and contrast.

That was the one i was using but for some reason its to bright . An the sky sometimes look to much light blue . Like green an blue mix together . But i do agree the bluesphere works great but in VISTA. Ever since switch to W7 i get these Black screen when using Bluesphere from Tim's . I don't know what to do to solve this an i guest am not alone .
