Panos, Thanks for your reply, No I'm not using REX; Don't have it. Just loaded from Desk top icon set at local time (Daytime)my default flight and it loaded in 2mins.5 secs.

Normally I let the plane n the Fly Now screen turn a 1-!/4 turn to click...Then I get the click sound and the bar beggins to laod inmediately; Now I let it turn a full turn, the bar beggins to run after sounding the click around 15-21 seconds later.

1) Download latest drivers for your Audio Card.

2) If you are using AC'97 REALTEK audio from your motherboard set to "Disable" from bios.

3) Run scan disk. Defragment your hard drive with FSX.

The second choice I thing is your problem. Try a USB audio card, with buffer (to pre read wav files).

I hope this will help,

Panos

Panos, thanks for your reply and guidelines.

I have a standard Microsoft High Definition Audio in this computer, no Realtek, I just opened the harware and tried to update the driver from there...It came up,after searching through the computer and internet,"the best driver for this device is already installed"

Hi,

I noticed on my computer that the startuptime is dependent of the amount of installed planes.

Planes I don't use very often are either deinstalled or the folders are put out of my airplane folder to a folder named UNUSED AIRPLANES.

So if I want to fly one shifting back the folder will make them available quickly.

If uninstalling airplanes I also check the fsx.cfg for remains of gauges etc (section: [Trusted)).

Another item to ceck is the logbook file. I use FSXLog.exe for this task.

Good luck!

Koenich: Thanks for your reply. Yes indeed ht number of plane addons one has influences the time the simtake to load,Loading the gauges, skins etc...Take a lot of ressourses.

Sometime I get addons that may have up to 11-30 skins/liveries,knowing that this may clogg my system I delete the liveries and only keep the ones I like by deleting the texture folder and then deleting the entries in the aircraft.cfg file.

"Planes I don't use very often are either deinstalled or the folders are put out of my airplane folder to a folder named UNUSED AIRPLANES."

By you I suppose?

I also write down what gauges get installed nad accepted in the FSX.cfg file to delete them from there as well.Another thing I have noticed,at least in my installtion is with many Addon a/c's the "Progressive Taxi arrows go crazy and behave very erratically, sometime they even show elevated by like 2-3 feet off the ground and in turns they move making the turn wider...

Thanks,

Berlopez
