Doors

Featured Replies

Good day all.

I cannot find in manual who controls doors especially before engine start. Who closes and opens doors? I did not see it neither in pilot flying nor in pilot monitoring side flow.

I may be missing something. So far I do it myself.

Thank you.

Hi Ed,

If you're running the Pre-Flight events section, FS2Crew will open and close the doors for you at the appropriate times.

Generally, you should never need to manually open the doors via the FMC with FS2Crew (assuming you're following FS2Crew procedures).

Hi Bryan.

Yes, I run Pre-Flight events section. For some reason the doors are still remain open. When I call "before start procedure", FO states that doors are open even if time countdown reaches 0. So all folks boarded, clearance received, we are at Start Procedure point but doors are still open. Even if I wait even longer, they still open.

At what time and/ore stage the doors will close?

Thanks for help.

Hello back.

Looks to me I was ahead of the game. I was trying to call Before Start Procedure before passengers were fully boarded. At T+2 mins I heard the bell from outside like jetbridge was removed and then doors were closed, I heard that too. That part was done and works alright. Now another "issue". I armed LNAV/VNAV and after takeoff both were engaged as supposed to (turned green) but in the left window option Heading Select appeared and in the right window LNAV, then Climb thrust and VNAV accordingly, after I selected Climb thrust, another option appeared- Level change. When I scrolled through all those queues I saw that in the left window appeared option Flaps 5 but flaps 1 was selected on takeoff. I have noticed that it happens time after time. Usually it works normal, I mean if I armed LNAV/VNAV, other commands like Head Select and Level change won't show up, which is make sense, I don't use them. Is there any explanations? Thank you again.

Hi Bryan.

I usually arm them at the gate before push. I will check it again today.

Thank you.

Alright. It's still doing this. LNAV/VNAV were armed before taxi. After take off LNAV/VNAV popped up in the queue and after that HDG SEL. I had to skipp all of those to come to a flaps option. Also FO called "I am ready for checklist" 3 times during initial climb.

I reinstalled FS2crew twice already. No addons were used.

I also have to skip pass HDG SEL etc to the flap retract part if I have already armed LNAV/VNAV on the ground.

So above 400AGL I can call CMD with the secondary button then I have to skip until I get to flap retract options. But I have never had "I am ready for the checklist" repeat itself.
