PMDG 767-300ER? Would be a nice idea!

Featured Replies

Would like to see a good 767 addon made for fsx by PMDG as I have myself flow the British Airways full motion flight simulator 4 times at British airways Training Centre, Cranebank Heathrow. Who agrees!!??

Firstly, HOW?!

Secondly, its a great idea, but with a 777 coming, the a 747, plus the DC-6, the second secret project, and the Dash 8 prehaps coming together again, i dont think they would, and if they do, it'll be a long, long time yet, like, 10 years maybe?! ;)

But in all seriousness, i think a lot of the community are satisfied with the Level D...

Normally best to do a search before you post Nathan, this has been covered quite a few times.

I wold love it!

Having said that, pmdg tends to have things planned quite well so I'm sure they already have some ideas on what to do next after the 747 v2.

Also what I would like even more is a 757, that's an awesome plane that deservs a good model. after all the 767 has the level S, even though it's old it's way better than what's available for the 757.

Agreed...so as your punishment you must go to their forums and ask them to build a T7.............

You mean 737/747/MD11 seeing as there is no PMDG T7 yet :P .

I have a hunch that this will be a possibility. UAL fly both the 757 and the 767, there is great commonality between both aircraft, (good margins if you flog both at full price with the variants as cheaper addons). Moreover, both are somewhat lacking in the FS sphere right now. Sure, the Level-D 767 is good, but it's old... there are no updates and I severely doubt if we'll ever see a 757 from them. PMDG could easily make a few buck out of this and I bet they would sell extremely well.

It makes commercial sense. Why not? I'd certainly buy both!

Here we go again...

THE BOEING 747 V2.0 IS THE SECOND SECRET PROJECT. THE FIRST ONE IS THE DC-6. THE NEXT RELEASE WILL BE THE BOEING 777. THE DASH 8 HAS NOT YET BEEN ANNOUNCED.

Phew. ^_^

Makes sense to do a 757 but not another 767. There's a texture update you can download from simarket that brings the VC to life, makes it feel less old.

Guys-

PmDG have stated that Level-d and the gang are friends, and they will NOT make a competiting product.

If anything Level- d should step up to the plate with a version 2.0. The Sim market has grown quite a bit since the Level-d 767, and it would certainly bring a great product to the market, and benefit them as well.

PMDGs hould start thinking about airbus market or 787 DreamlinerX ;))

At least someone agrees with me, yes level d have the 767, but it's old and there isn't really any other ones to buy apart from the captain sim one. Also there are a lot of people who like the aircraft and it is a nice one to fly. Finally some people on hear need to chill out, I'm only suggesting something I would like to see and what some other people may like to see.

I think nearly everybody who wants a 767 will have already bought the Level-D product, I certainly have. Going forward, perhaps PMDG would be best placed to offer a 767 that is fully native to FSX and Level D would continue to own the FS9 market. Either way, these are not competing products. The Level-D 767 is now almost at the legacy product phase. If Level-D were going to launch a new 767/757 (with delivery in the near future a likely possibility, right now is frankly isn't) then of course, PMDG perhaps would feel as if it would be rude to continue down this line. Assuming they aren't, they hurt really nobody.

The 787 is probably a better bet, on account of the 777 commonality, too, at least in the short to medium term.
