September 9, 201213 yr So yesterday I was flying the 747 from KATL-EHAM and for some strange reason my headings kept on getting flipped around and the plane flying infinite circles without ever getting to the waypoint (you may have seen my post in the 747 section of the forum) I assumed it was a problem maybe with the AIRAC data. I flew a flight this morning in the NGX KMCO-KMIA. I was actualy able to fly the route, but now I'm starting to think there may be something wrong with all my PMDG aircraft. If you can see the attached picture there are random gaps in the route, the route is no longer rounded and smooth at turns and theres like random chunks of route out in the middle of no where. Haven't tried the MD-11 yet but I'm sure theres bound to be something wrong. Anyone have any clues or ideas as to what might be going on here? September 9, 201213 yr Author So now the MD-11 is skeltonized and tried re-installing everything the MD is still skeletonized about to go try out the NGX ugghhhh.... September 9, 201213 yr Author Well I've reinstalled the NGX and no change Devin Mack "Why yes I do sit up in trees and watch airplanes land in my free time, do you have any better suggestions for my weekend?"
September 9, 201213 yr Hi Devin, Do you have the Highmemfix in you fsx cfg? regards, Martin DahlerupMy rig contains a random selection of computer parts working in perfect harmony.... I hold a EASA fATPL + A320 SIC rating and a FAA CPL with CFI rating.
September 9, 201213 yr Author Could you elaborate more on that I try not to screw with the fsx.cfg if possible Devin Mack "Why yes I do sit up in trees and watch airplanes land in my free time, do you have any better suggestions for my weekend?"
September 9, 201213 yr Delete the Fsx.cfg and let the FSX make a new one. Did you recently install any addons or made any changes to the fsx.cfg? With kind regards, Bogdan Misko.
September 9, 201213 yr Author No nothing new so how do I let it make a new one? Devin Mack "Why yes I do sit up in trees and watch airplanes land in my free time, do you have any better suggestions for my weekend?"
September 9, 201213 yr If you delete the old one, FSX will create a new one as it is started again. John Rubens
September 9, 201213 yr Devin, Please read this entire thread. It will give you a lot of needed background information for getting a smooth and troublefree sim. It has both a hardware and software section. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/370594-read-before-posting-software-hardware-guide-for-fsx/ Regards, Martin DahlerupMy rig contains a random selection of computer parts working in perfect harmony.... September 10, 201213 yr Author Well I created a new .cfg file and did all the tweaks in that thread. It fixed my skelotonized MD-11 but still my navigation is jacked up in all 3 planes Devin Mack "Why yes I do sit up in trees and watch airplanes land in my free time, do you have any better suggestions for my weekend?"
September 10, 201213 yr Hi Devin, Firstly, the skeletonised MD-11 is almost certainly a separate matter from your ND issue, so while the FSX.CFG changes will have fixed the skeleton issue, the ND matter may require different handling. Assuming that you have done a full and complete uninstall, and reinstall, consider the following: - Do these issues appear along an entire route, or just at the departure end or arrival end (or both ends?). - Do these issues appear on only one particular route/SID/STAR, or is it all the time? - Does the aircraft still track the appropriate flight path despite the display issues, or does the aircraft go crazy as well? - Did you install/uninstall anything from FSX recently that might have interfered with the rest of your install? Based on your findings to the above, we might be able to help further, or alternatively you can then raise a support ticket with PMDG. Mark Adeane - NZWN
September 10, 201213 yr Author I figured the skeletonized aircraft was a different issue. It appears along the entire route with all SIDS and stars as well. The NGX is the only plane that actually will follow the route correctly. As for the MD11 and 747 well the nd is really messed up and the plane ends up flying endless circles. September 10, 201213 yr Have you downloaded a new airac cycle or checked within the PMDG/SIDSTARS folder to see any anomalies? I'd submit a ticket if I were you as it looks like quite a unique problem you've for there. Gavin Price
September 10, 201213 yr Have you tried the flight1 registry repair tool? It's worked in other instances.
