September 15, 201213 yr Hi Everyone For the last three years I have been using a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System for FSX work. I mainly fly PMDG stuff but also Carenado GA types as well. Over the last 6 months or so my throttle set up has become problematical with noisy pots making throttle and pitch controls very difficult to use without excursions from commanded inputs. I have tried cleaning them and it initially made a difference but now its every time that i have an issue. My question is has anyone jut bought the replacement throttle quadrant as the yoke part sems fine? I thought i read some where that the after market quad uses a usb conection as opposed to the original plug to power the throttle controls and they had issues with enough power getting to them to work properly. Am i better just to buy a whole new yoke and controller set up? Are there better options out the these days that wont cost a fortune? Thanks for any advice offered Barra Regards Barra i7 7700K, 16GB 3200MHz DDR4, GTX1070 OC 8GB, 1TB Samsung SSD for OS and P3D4.4, W10 64Bit, Corsair H115i Water Cooling

September 16, 201213 yr I would take it apart and clean it out with an electronic cleaner and lubricate pertinent parts. Stores like Radio Shack should have what you need.
September 16, 201213 yr As you stated, you have already cleaned it, and are still having issues, getting the USB version will not cause you any issues. I have the USB version, and the normal one running side by side, along with 14 other USB Saitek devices all running at once, and have no issues with it at all, it works fine for me. Just when your programming it, it shows up as a throttle quadrant only, and isn't programmed under the yoke settings, for buttons/axis.. I had loads of power problems initially, but resolved all of these simply by replacing my USB hubs with far better ones.. (Belkin ultra slim 7 port hubs) Richard...
