September 16, 201213 yr I have the NGX 738/9 and like most people appreciate the nearest thing most of us will get to flying a real airliner.... But I don't yet have the smaller siblings, the 736/7. My understanding is that they were released as separate packages as they are really are like a different aircraft. Can anyone confirm or (better) describe the differences between these two packages ( maybe sound, performance, nything else that sticks out)? Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
September 16, 201213 yr differences between these two packages Flight model and a few switches on the overhead panel having to do with the recirculation fan switches (one on the 600/700 and two on the 800/900) and the temperature indicators. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
September 16, 201213 yr The -600 is a real pocket rocket. You can takeoff in pretty short distances. But anyway, if you like the NG series 737 as a whole or you like some variety in your hangar, go for it. Thanks, Kevin L
September 16, 201213 yr At least on my setup, I feel as if the 700 is a little more sensiative when it comes to pitch commands vs the 800 (I only fly these two so can't compare to the others). Alfredo Terrero
September 16, 201213 yr Personally, I fly the 800/900 more often than not, but recently due to a really awesome 600 BBJ livery made by Steve Stubbs I went back to the 600 for the first time in a long time. I quickly remembered how much fun the 600 can be - like Kevin said it is totally a pocket rocket and it's fun. The performance differences are, well, actually the performance differences of the 600/700 to 800/900, and the great thing about this PMDG product is that you will clearly notice them. It is well worth the very small investment to get this add-on, if even to just appreciate the differences in these variants. Paul Koutek
September 17, 201213 yr Author Thanks everyone, have just purchased the 600/700 version. I imported my ECZA views from the 800/900, and love it. It is much more responsive. Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
