777 Tutorials?

I'd be happy to help as well when time permits. As with Greg's manuals mine are oriented to our airline as well but are mostly generic too.

Thank you all for your interest once again.

I don't think I can get the first video out until the end of the month, I'm too busy studying for my FAA Knowledge Exam which is in a few weeks for my Private License.

I've already got a lot of material ready to go so it won't be too long now, thank you for understanding :-)

Luke,

Out of interest what sort of thing are you looking at? I've in mind to do a cold start run through to a short sector EGLL-EHAM via REFSO for an RNAV/ILS arrival into 18R then the full shutdown procedure in a PDF format to read and do.

Before the 777 releases it was just going through the whole Systems Integrated with the Overhead Panel + Synoptic Screens. I'm likely going to do a complete set up video, even though I'm not C&D's favourite person I'll show how to get it started up. Probably an independant FMC tutorial as to this date lots don't know how to use it the way it should be used. I've got a few things in mind! I've never thought of doing tutorials before, but since I feel so comfortable with explaining things about the 777 I thought why not. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I'll make sure it's all perfect. My friend who flies them said he'd view them prior to them going live to see if I done it correctly.

I wonder how many people will ask "Where is the IRS?" :P :LMAO:

Where is the IRS ?

Regis Biassala

IRS - Inland Revenue Service? Otherwise known as HMRC 'Her Majestys Revenue and Customs' are in Wales I believe.

Sorry, couldn't resist!

Hey guys,

For whom is interested in these tutorials, do you really really want a 777 tutorial before release? Or would you rather I do what I was going to do and that's tutorials in the PMDG itself and they'll be up within a week of release. I'll give you an idea of the types you'll see in order, I'll be shooting them all in one day so if anything editing them will take the most time. I'm pretty good with video production so that's no issue. Anyway, the videos will be:

Tutorial 1: Overview of the flight deck with a basic explanation of what's what.

Tutorial 2: Overhead Panel with Systems & Synoptic Displays - they all link so that's why I think I should do it that way.

Tutorial 3: Flight Management Computer (FMC) - this one will be based more for people who don't have the clear picture on how to use it & beginners. I know you guys from the NGX and other Boeing products won't need it but to this date I still see many who don't know how to use it!

Tutorial 4: Displays (PFD, ND, UPR & LWR EICAS) Checklists & Pedestal.

Tutorial 5: You would have learnt most of what you need to know to fly it, so I'll give a walk through from Cold and Dark - to shutdown. Likely just an Emirates Gulf flight or BAW Shuttle. So during this I'll be showing my ways of setting up and procedures I use.

Tutorial 6,7,8 etc: These will be things from X Wind landings, Emergencies, Non Precision Approaches.

If there's anything else, let me know and I'll make a note of it. All of the above is subject to change!

Yes, I'd like to see you using the PMDG 777 flight deck for your tutorial. Would be really cool indeed!

With kind regards, Bogdan Misko.

Yeah, I'd really be interested to see the off-normal/emergency procedures and the NPAs.

I think it would be a lot better if you used the actual PMDG aircraft. I can't wait for them (plane & tutorials) to come out!!

Many thanks

Ryan

Gents-

Today I started production for the tutorials. A little bit of Graphic Design and lot of scripts were put together. All I'll say is have your coffee ready to take in the information! :LMAO:
