When using UTX and GEX you must sandwich the scenery entries

 

Don't understand this line. GEX is not in the Scenery Library or the Scenery.cfg. It replaces your default textures with better performing textures and has some enhancements for UTX if you have that installed. The developer of GEX has some suggestions on how to properly setup UTX to work the best with GEX textures. It's at the bottom of his Setting Up FSX and Tuning It guide - http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic29041.html. I suspect you are talking about putting some addon scenery in between some of the UTX entries in the Scenery Library? BTW, I have all of my UTX just above Propeller Objects in the Scenery Library and it works well.

Hi Jim, you figure there are only 26 letters in our alphabet, I should have got this one right LOL. I was thinking of FS Global Ultimate (FSGX) and SceneryTech Landclass.

 

The sandwiching actually has to be SceneryTech Landclass-North America must be placed between UT Landclass-Vegetation and UT Landclass-Urban. Here are my UT, FSGlobal, SceneryTech and Xclass EU placements:

Guys I have done a clean install but forgot the order to install these products I have -

Hi wayne, FSGenesis and Canada Landclass will install first then everything is added on top of it. UTX must be installed in this order:

 

UTX USA

UTX Canada

UTX Europe

 

DL the full installers from Flight1, once installed run the UI and select "Prepare to Upgrade" patch then run the setups

 

Night Lighting.. main roads OFF, intersection ON

 

my personal preference.. turn off glaciers, railway yards, highway interchanges... allows better autogen placement.

 

Then change these items...

NickN has been working on an update and will have an all-in-one GUI coming out with brand new installers (and updated textures) so you don't have to mess around too much. It will require complete removal of the "old" GEX product. Watch their forums for news in the next little while.

 

The rest of the items I do not have except addon airports from FSDT, the VFR and Photoreal scenery might have to be placed in a special position but you can check with the vendors via their forums.

Thats great Rob really appreciated especially the UTx stuff i never knew that, and the scenery library is good to look at too, what is fsg ultimate ? never seen that is that just fsg as i have there galaxy membership? once again thankyou
