September 24, 201213 yr Over $40 for this?? That's absolutely ridiculous. Especially when there is a freeware version out there that runs just as well. Heck send me $40, and I'll personally call you every time you fly and let you know what runway you're approaching! I guess the saying is true..."There's a sucker born every minute... Wow.... I guess I need a "Proud FS2Crew Sucker" banner because I love the program. Paul Wood
September 24, 201213 yr Quite frankly I have only run into one issue and it's the altimeter setting when above transition altitude. It's simple enough and I have no problem going without it. Besides that, I have had no issues. Besides that, the FS2Crew version has all features of the real world counterpart modeled, where the free version only has a little over half. To answer your question, yes I was using the newest version. The sounds that were not copied directly from Honeywells site were obviously simply run through a text-to-speech service and sounded unrealistic, or needed some tweaking that I did with a new soundset. The paid version has professionally recorded sounds. (I don't expect this on a free app, so I'm not bashing) BUT, don't get me wrong, it was a great little tool for a free version. I paid 32 dollars for the FS2Crew version and frankly you get what you pay for, which is a nice product with all functions of the real-world RAAS and more, plus sounds that I personally prefer over Honeywells recordings haha. My point- freeware is freeware, payware is payware (at least in most cases). Nick thanks for explaining a couple of things!!Sounds good and it must be a nice product when it comes from FS2Crew.
