September 25, 201213 yr My condolences to both the Instructor, and the couple on the test ride. I am always surprised when an instructor goes down. Of all the pilots, you kind of expect instructors to be best equipped for an emergency (GA-PPL). Socata Crash; last I heard, the husband is expected to recover, so some answers will be had for that flight.

September 26, 201213 yr Can't imagine what he's going through though... Very true. Losing a loved one doing something you love must be a calamity of emotional distress and loss. I wish him the best, and all those who have lost.
