Love him or hate him, you have to admit that Kim Dotcom has certainly shaken up the world.

If he's not pissing off movie and music moguls with his drop-box services, he's exposing the skulduggery and incompetence of NZ's politicians, along with its intelligence and police services.

So far, Kim has been blessed with the support of the mainstream media, a factor that can not be overestimated in its importance. If you have the media on your side, you have the majority of public opinion on your side.

That's because, like it or not, the media does a wonderful job of shaping that public opinion and most people are slaves to what they read, hear or watch through that media.

Too late. The backstory that most people only watching the story from a casual perspective are unaware of was that Megabox was one of the reasons the studios goaded the government into going after him. And why the whole situation was so dirty from top to bottom.

 

Megabox, if successful would be a direct blow to the studios outdated fee structure, and Mr Dotcom was not subtle with his intentions to eat their lunch. Many artists had expressed interest in the service, and the studios were not at all happy.

 

In a normal world they would have just had to find a way to compete, but why do that, when there are other, more nasty ways to remove him from the picture?

It has certainly opened up some anti american wounds again down this end of the world - which is the last thing yanks need again. Questions now arising about the US influence on our own spy service etc.

 

Kim Dotcom is quickly becoming a real life folk hero - Kim Dotcom for Prime Minister I say !

I suspect their will be a compensation package for Kim Dotcom when all the inquiries are done. He can use that as startup money into a new venture I am sure.

I hope you're not talking ###### about Kim Jong-Il, because he's one of the only politicans today who dare to be on his own.

 

Today Kim Jong-Un is in power, but the government is slowly getting better. Improvements in economy will be begin in 2013.

Because the whole US stance on this has been quite stinky. Politicians corrupted, back room deals to the horizon, laws ignored, lies told and allies that trusted us duped and mistreated.

 

All so American corporations can protect outdated business models.

 

We don't like to hear about foreign billionaires using all but paid-for senators and congressmen to alter American policies, and I cant see why anybody would like to see their governments, laws and societies played with either.

 

With great power comes the responsibility to behave responsibly and justify other nations trust in us. Not to stomp around the world acting like a clumsy corporate controlled Bigfoot ready to stomp other peoples laws and governments flat by any means to secure powerful corporations desire to protect outdated business models.

 

Like our current politics, we are becoming unbalanced and erratic. We are scaring people.
