October 14, 201213 yr I also got the subscription renew notice by email, and I welcome it. Thank you. I have taken advantage of the discount and renewed my subscription. The attached .pdf form was very professional, but I would also suggest that you provide some text in the body of the email in a professional format. Attachments with blank emails look too much like virus infected emails. That's true, we will add the same text to the e-Mail, not only in the pdf. So the consumer can choice between e-mail or pdf for his archive. Or if you do a review of an addon product in the magazine, make a YouTube video that builds on the article . I believe that would add a new dimension of interest to each of the articles and you can reference the link to your YouTube channel within the article or, better yet, send an email to the subscriber for that month, with all of the links to the YouTube videos along with any other promos. for our german magazine we are already publishing videos on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/flightmagazin that will also be an service for computer pilot online, but first I want to resolve the service and shipment problems. would like to see articles on things like setting up EZdok Camera (maybe with some links to profiles of popular addon aircraft), Getting the most out of weather programs like Active Sky 2012, Opus and REX. Even showing how to combine them to get better weather. Captain Mike Ray, writing an article on realistic flying of the NGX put in the beautiful style of his articles. Taking advantage of scenery and setting up scenery in the FSX or P3D library to the most advantage. Where do meshes go best? Where does photo scenery go best? Where do airports go? Is it best to turn off scenery that is not being used on a flight? all this questions are good for articles and how to use reviews. In our Flight! we have a lot of this content. We will work together with the CPM Authors, to develop an knowledge area for the magazine. The new CPM will only have 50 % of product reviews, the rest will be how to use, fly or install. Like in the Jun/Jul Edition, we will put much less advertisment space in the magazine. At the beginning note if the aircraft being reviewed is for beginner, intermediate or advanced simmers, Too many times I see a wonderful review of a product, then it says only a few systems are functional within the aircraft. with the next CPM Edition, we will also start our new grading chart, The blue rectangle on the right side, you will find an chart from 0 to 10 (best), with the details of each point (also 0 to 10). On the top the pro/contra and the product details (price, publisher, beginner/expert) .... and this chart will be used to publish the best of list (scenery and aircraft) With aircraft like the PMDG NGX, the visual quality and systems bar has been raised so high that most payware addons can't match up, yet there are still many payware addons that I enjoy very much. A short list would be: The Leonardo Maddog, Coolsky's Super80, Coolsky-McPhat-Flight1 DC-9, Captain Sim 707 and 727, Quality Wings BAe 146, Blackbox Airbus 320. yes, all this airplanes are different. An different approach to review the products. It would be nice to do a good article, reviewing the Level D 767, and how it compares to new aircraft being produced, since it is still a big favorite among simmers after all the years that it has been out. in our Flight! Team, we have some real Pilots, also with 767 experience, I will ask him for an knowledge article about the Level D But something I need to keep in mind is what has always been my goal to support the "small guys". Thus, I normally don't shop at the larger franchised stores and try to give my money to the local business people, especially with the economy as it is. I want to support the smaller entrepreneurs. that sounds good, thank you So here is a challenge for other folks like myself who received the intimidating letter from your billing agency. On monday, I have an meeting with the agency, to talk about the problems and resolve fix all this. It might take some time and hard work by the new owners to sort it out but they are obviously trying. oh yes, it is very hard to transfer a database with thousands of addresses. We received hundreds of magazines back from the jun/jul edition, wrong or outdated address :( However, to ask them to put up cash for refunds when clearly this would come out of their own pocket and not the company coffers is asking too much in my opinion . we will never ask money for non send magazines. If you have now an subsc. with 3 issues to go and you want to renew now, your balance will be positive with 9 (6+3) Magazines. Do you intend to put this magazine on the newsagent's shelf in Rep. of Ireland???? not at the moment, we are talking with an newsstand agent in UK and with some stores in the US/Canada to sale the magazines, but at the moment it is to expensive to print all this magazines and to distribute all this over the world. That's the reason, why we are just offering an subsc. delivery at the moment, so we can arrange us with the printer, to just print what we need. In the newsstand distribution, you have +- 50% of the magazines which will be destroyed, that will be a very big invest at the moment and for the moment, too much risk. October 14, 201213 yr if you are from UK, yes PCP is cheaper. That's her homeland with a lot of advantage on the postal price. For us, UK is part of the "worldwide subscription", at the moment we are offering a cheaper price for the US, because we have enough consumers to get a good price from the USPS. For the UK, we will start a special offer with beginn of nov 2012, I'm already talking with an local partner to benefit from the UK postal price. The same for australia. it is very expensive to send this magazines out, but we already started the proceedings. at the moment the worldwide price is 49,99 USD, this weekend with a big discount, down to 41.66 USD / 25,92 £ . But even with the discount, a difference of 2 £.
