Yeah, but they stop the cars from entering the RWY, when an aircraft is about to take off or land. In FSX they go on no matter what happens.

Ken-not sure when you started flying but "with you" was very much used and standard when I started flying in 1989. True it has been dropped by most-but I still recall it being said by a lot of people at least when fs9 came out and even fsx. Also dropped was "for" e.g. leaving 3000 for 4000-dropped because for could be interpreted as 4-that seems rather recent to me.

Now if I could get used to some of the very recent changes in atc-some which I really don't like.

I work at a medium-sized regional airport, and we monitor the tower and approach/departure on a radio in the hangar. I rarely hear "with you" any more from the airline or corporate pilots, but a lot of the GA pilots still use it.... especially the locally-based "old greybeards" who have been flying for many years.

Still getting used to hearing some of the new (for the U.S.) ATC terminology like "Line up and wait" instead of "Taxi into position and hold".

I do hear some airline and corporate types who have their own annoying phrases that add nothing to the conversation, like saying "3245 in the box" (when given a transponder squawk code), instead of simply repeating "squawk 3245".

Developers that say they have a service pack but won't issue it as they're developing other stuff to go with it.

Anybody know who I'm talking about?
