October 9, 201213 yr ...there is just one thing I'm not happy with: Lights. For the aircraft I'm using 3D Lights and they are almost perfect, but those from airports...they look flat and not very realistic. I would like to get something like this: How do I do it? Maybe with ENB? I'm using some amazing ENB config i found on the net but I don't know how to get the bloom of those lights. Thanks in advance.
October 9, 201213 yr I'd say that's FSX light bloom. It's a bit heavy on frames, though, but it sure looks great. You can turn it on in the "Graphics" tab of the FSX settings. Flo Florian
October 9, 201213 yr Hi Flo, yeah I can activate it from FSX but still not realistic, not as in that picture, and also yes, seems to have a very negative impact on FPS. Maybe someone knows a good tweak for ENB? Thanks.
October 9, 201213 yr The green taxiway lights remind me of Aerosoft's MegaAirport Heathrow, so maybe it's an addon airport with some custom light effects? Florian

Use ENB, or even better, if you have an nVidia card: FXAA post process injection tool: https://www.assembla...-pp-inject/wiki You will get the light bloom (and much more), without the heavy FPS hit. FXAA PPIT is the successor of ENB. And it is much, much more stable.
October 9, 201213 yr Artistically FSX light bloom looks good, but it is not realistic. Landing lights are generally bright, but not bloomy. Look at the night landings on this channel of real world 744 flights. I find the best settings for me (If you have REX) The Xeon landing light texture, with the following lighting options in Display section of the fsx.cfg file. RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=1.2 RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=0.9 RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=2.0 RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=2.0 You can adjust to your liking! http://www.youtube.com/user/SuredT Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
October 9, 201213 yr Can you use this in conjunction with shade GUI ? As I said, I'm already using ENB, but it doesn't make lights look like that by default, do you know what settings provide that result? Anyway, if you want delete "realistic" and use "cool", in a way or another that's the effect i'm looking for. Regards.
October 9, 201213 yr To get lights like that all you need is FSX Shockwave 3D Lights Redux. They make your aircraft and in game lights look amazing at no framerate cost!
October 9, 201213 yr As stated in the first post, I'm already using 3D Lights, never seen such effect tho.
