Alaska Airlines Order 737 MAX

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Today we have some very exciting news! We've placed an order for 50 new airplanes with our long-time partner Boeing! 37 of those airplanes are for the new 737 MAX 8 & 9 series! We surprised our employees with the announcement last night - check out the video below. :)

Like this is if you're as excited as we are!

Happy !!!

OUTSTANDING!!! Thanks for the post McCarter!

No problem !

Alaska Airlines is my favorite airlines as a passenger. I am glad to see they are expanding their fleet, I am also equally excited they now fly to my home airport. They are expanding well and this is great news. Good luck :)

Cool, looks like we might get NG's for Alaska domestic routes... In like 5 years ;)

Cool, I heard earlier form a friend who's dad is a Horizon captain and got the info a week early. Now all we need to do is get those beat to crap 700's a cabin upgrade.

ORBX- the way to go

Sincerely, John McGee

Hey! Do you fly SEA-SNA, SEA-LAX, or SEA-ONT very often? Those routes are all in my not to distant future, on Alaska.

Yes, and I fly more often SEA-LAX, SEA-SFO, SEA-ANC.

Well, perhaps we will run into each other. Which of the 73NG variants is your favorite to pilot?

800 and you ?

800 and you ?

Not quite sure what you mean by and you, but if you are talking about my favorite NG variant, I'd go with the 73G. I like it's proportions and it seems to have very nice flight dynamics. A while back, one captain let me program some of the avionics and do the walk around. It was awesome to say the least.

Someone left the door wide open, oh god the possibilitys
