In the 1980's Aeroflot were flying routes from Shannon,Ireland (EINN) to a few U.S destinations and I was privileged to be a passenger on one occasion. My overriding memory was when we landed back in Shannon the deceleration forced the aisle carpet to ripple forward towards the front of the plane.............I was glad to be home.
