Question for JD - RC will not register

Featured Replies

Hi John

I requested a replacement key which I received yesterday.

Makes no difference in that I copy /paste replacement in registration box of RC it will not register the product.

I have had RC for years and have not had this problem before.

My question is: I have installed Windows 8. Is RC not compatible with Windows 8?

That was the reason for the request for a replacement key.

I have also tried various compatibility modes and am running RC in Administrator mode.

Your assistance/advice would be appreciated.

Ultimate Traffic 2 I am advised by Flight 1 is also not yet compatible with Windows 8.

Best regards

Noel,

On another forum it has been suggested that many FS programes will not work under Win 8.Qualitysim has produced a seperate dll.file for the RJ for example.

As you have already found out with UT2,it will, take some time before all FS offerings will be Win 8 comparable.

send me a screen shot of the registration screen, with the key pasted into the form. make sure there are no spaces at the end of the key. make sure the product id you requested a key, matches the product id on the screen. including the minus sign if there is one.

Also check the 713 missing .dlls topic if you get an error pop-up. Starting with VISTA needed run time dlls were no longer included in the operating system.

In Win 8 the the procedure to register them might be different.
