aircraft best of

I would appreciate some opinions on the following:

1. best addon aircraft for bush flying (STOL better or equal to default Cessna, piston, single engine)

2. best addon aircraft turboprop, size of KingAir, not a liner (not ATR or Q400)

1. I'd say the A2A Cub is one of the best aircraft for bush flying, but it's slow. A faster option would be the Super Cub by eiterh FSAddon or Flight Replicas. Then there is Aerosoft's Bushhawk and Digital Aviation's Do27(which is a ported over FS9 model if I remember correctly, but from what I've heard and read, it's still good). I also use some Carenado planes for bush flying, mainly the C185 Bush and the C208.

Also note that both A2A and RealAir are working on a C172, which are very likely to be really great products, and Aerosoft is working on an AN-2,which also looks promising.

2. Pröbably the RealAir Turbine Duke or Piston Duke are what you want. I don't want to comment on them, because I have neither of them, but RealAir is said to be one of the best developers for GA aircraft. Other palnes in that category would be the Milviz C310 and King Air B55, the Carenado King Airs B55 and B200, C340 or the Beech B58 Baron.

Best regards,

I'm primarily a low and slow guy with RW time in the Decathlon/Citabria and I've been very happy with the RealAir Scout package. Lots of versatility (three different models (not just skins) w/ wheeled, tundra, and amphib variants). Fantastic sounds. The rattle is so familiar. Your peripheral vision (something not often referred to in FSX addon reviews) is excellent. I can't stand the default C208 because it feels like I'm flying w/ blinders on.

If anything the virtual Citabria is a little less forgiving on final or it may be that I'm just lacking the seat of the pants feel and let it get too slow with 50' left to go to touchdown.

Highly recommended.

I would support the RealAir Scout as my favorite bush plane.

As far as turboprops go, there are the Flight1 PC12, the RealAir Turbine Duke, and the

Carenado C90 (or B200) to look at... I personally like piston equipped planes better, so I defer

to others to judge.. (I've got them all, but do not fly them often)

RealAir scout package is great fun. I love that (those) plane.

The RealAir Turbine Duke is a favorite when it comes to turbo props
