November 7, 201213 yr Missed this thread--great screenshots. My understanding of a carrier landing is they go to full throttle as they hit the deck, just in case they miss the arresting wires. That would take nerves of steel that I don't have.... I can't even imagine trying to land on a pitching, rolling "runway". Landing on a regular runway was a challenge to me when I was taking flight lessons, and my practice runway was a mile long. John
