QW BAe146 controls problem

Featured Replies

HEy folks,

I just got the QualityWings BAe 146 and wanted to take it for a spin imediately but I´ve got an problem with the controls. Inside the plase the controls are working (the colum is moving for elevator and aileron) but outside there´s nothing happening except that I move the trim flaps instead of the control surfaces of elevator and aileron. Also the elevator is in a fully up setting with out no response to my.

I´ve got an pic to explain that further:

It stayed the same with working engines and hydraulic pumps. I tested my yoke setup with another plane and there everything worked as predicted.

Best regards, Steffen

You probably need to turn on the yellow and green hydraulics systems in the overhead panel.

Theres no problem here..

• All primary and secondary Flight Controls including tab-controlled aileron and elevator

The yoke controls these tabs, witch then control the elevator surface.

It stayed the same with working engines and hydraulic pumps

Yes, they need airflow over them to work...

From the MANUAL :

Why are my Elevators pointing up?

Is there any kind of control lock I need to turn off?

The elevators are tab-controlled, which means there are no hydraulic actuators that move them. They’re only moved by the small control tabs you see at the trailing edge. By deflecting in the opposite direction of the desired elevator deflection, they move the control surface into the commanded position. Since this only works when the airflow around the elevator is

fast enough, you’ll see the elevator point up at low speeds.

So there you have it....Now, i just helped you out, so maybe you can help me understand why you deleted my post in the screenshot forum, without any explaination what so ever, even after sending you a private message asking why?.........

Regards

I fixed the problem myselve: I discovered that the qwings.dll in the QualityWings main folder wasn´t added to the dll.xml. I added this entry and now it works. Maybe that was an problem with the insatllation?

Ah, I see. I didn´t realy understand your first post with that Tab controlled thingy. Now I see. Seems that I´ve flown the NGX for too long to be free for another system.
