Shared Cockpit Multiplayer

Featured Replies

There are a couple of shared cockpit planes available -- from what I've read so far these work --

Maddog MD-88

Real Air Turbine Duke

Does anyone know how difficult/easy it is to setup a multiplayer connection for shared cockpit with these aircraft?

Are there any upcoming aircraft which will have shared cockpit multiplayer?

Thanks.

In the Maddog, you connect via tcp/ip, ensure you open ports 26869 and 26867.

The client types the ip address in te maddog program manager.

You both load at the same time of day, same airport, same gate, preferably cold and dark.

You then select the options to connect to each other within a few seconds of each other and thats it, you should be able to see the switches being moved by the other person.

There are some very good videos of multiplayer sessions on youtube featuring the maddog, it is great fun.

The MD is a bit of a pain to get set up, for all others you simply have one start a session either in Gamespy or Direct connect, and have the other join your session then click the 'Join Aircraft' button next to your plane.

You both have to have the same plane installed, but the player joining the other just needs to click that button, nothing else, then join the session. It's best to use one of the default planes first to get used to the procedures, both joining and flying.

I think you can also use the fokker 70/100 it share the 2Dcockpit and it's a good plane to fly.
