Just a quiet enquiry as to why the release of possibly one of the most sought after airport remakes in the history of FS9/X has gone an entire week without comment on the avsim front page... while I understand that it is the decision of avsim staff what gets posted and what doesn't, surely something as big as this deserves at least a mention?

I believe the News items are put there as a result of 'submissions' made by developers etc.

 

So if FlyTampa have not submitted a 'news submission', then nothing will be there.

 

That's my understanding of how it's always been. I'm sure a staff person will correct me if I'm wrong.

 

However .......... there are supposed to be 'Reporters' now, but to be honest I see very little evidence of their work. That's not a criticism, just honest feedback. You would be fair in expecting that one of the 'reporters' would have picked up a release as game changing as this one, in scenery terms.

This is also intended constructively, but I find the current home page layout lacks a central focus. Maybe a slideshow presentation of the current main news/latest reviews etc would help a lot.

There is a rundown of the Front Page News in the Forum and of the Forum on the FP, this is to allow a full overview of the entire site on the main pages , seems redundant to add an overview of the pages onscreen as all the last posts are visible.

 

Always open to adding to our Reporter Staff and Layout ideas too, if folks have seen something notable, by all means post a link so we can get a visual reference.

 

Looking into getting submissions from Fly Tampa , i see they never have sent one to Avsim to date.
