November 23, 201213 yr A few years ago, I used to think that A2A would be the one to do a Constellation, but I'm not so sure anymore. I don't find it likely that we'll ever see planes like that from them ever again, or at least any time soon. They seem to have gone fully towards fighter planes, and that is what they are good at. Isn't their schedule filled up with fighter jets now? That is a little dissapointing to me because their Strato was quite good and I think a lot of people would have loved to see a followup. I'm highly anticipating the PMDG DC-6, and will be curious as to how it compares to the A2A multi-engines. I'm guessing that that one will probably break some new ground on its own. I would have liked a Constellation too, but the DC-6 is good enough for me. Stratocruiser with CoTS addon is IMO perhaps THE addon with largest immersion factor there is. It is absolutely goregous especially if you are into vintage aviation. Their B-17 is also just magnificent, although I haven't yet flown it that much. They make really nice multi pistons and there would be lots of nice warbirds and liners for them to produce even after Constellation. Dunno, perhaps vintage airliner market is niche of the niche and they get far better sales out of the warbirds.

You are probably right but I would have thought that warbirds would be more of a specialized niche than propliners. I have a few of ther single engine planes, but I rarely fly them because I just have trouble finding a place for them outside of a combat simulation. They are such excellent simulations of well loved airplanes, but I seem to run out of things to do with them after just a short time.
November 23, 201213 yr They seem to be rather busy at the moment (as a post above mentioned), but I too desperately hope they make one!! Particularly a Super Constellation! One can always dream  Daniel Miller
November 23, 201213 yr Their choices for airplanes are sometimes very odd. They could have chosen a DC-6 or a Connie or whatever, but instead they chose to make a truly strange looking (ugly?) airplane in the Stratocruiser, which was not that popular an aircraft in real life. And then, instead of making the choice of adding in the military C-97 variant, they made a Pregant Guppy, which even makes the Stratocruiser look beautiful. I'm glad that I bought the Cots thing, and still use it occasionally, but I can say that I held off for a long time simply because the airplane was so ugly and little known and out of all the propliners that was the one I had almost no interest in. I can only imagine how popular a Connie or DC-6 would have been if they had chosen to go down the more conventional route, but I don't get the impression that the B-377 is very popular with Flight Simmers. I like it a lot, but there doesn't seem to be much of fan community built up around it like you see with their single engine planes, which ends up taking a lot of the fun out of it. I like to talk about my airplanes online in places like this, every bit as much as I like to actually fly the airplanes!
November 23, 201213 yr The B377 is a fantastic addon, great looking, great systems and good on the fps! But you are right, its easy to get bored in short amount of time. I think with fsx being a modern flight simulator its difficult to find things to do in an aircraft with not so much as a VOR receiver. James W
