I for one think that the Leonardo Maddog is one of the best FSX addons of all time, actually, I do think its *the* best FSX addon of all times. And it's an FS9 port. It does of course have it's set of issues (poor performance, sub standard VC etc)

Dillon, I hope you don't mind me asking you openly. The intention of yours when opening the thread did not seem to aim at the dreaded 'but mine is better' fight, running for roughly six years. Did that change? :mellow:

 

The thread you are referring to asked for regretted purchases. I guess we can expect some folks stating exactly that while, at the very same time, having a lot of things to like/love in the same sim.

 

Look around, the same forum section also holds threads where people are praising the feeling, atmosphere or other aspects of their FSX addons. Avsim has close to 100.000 members. I'm sure there are good reasons to use either this or that sim, or a combination. :smile: It's called diversity. I like it, a society needs it.

 

I think Scott mentioned a good point with pointing out that some of the regrets of others can well be your personal darlings. Not a surprise for me.

and a single thread being titled 'regretted purchases' (my correction). I think that's what I was pointing out.

I used to like the wilco airbus and I thought the level d 767 was the greatest thing ever back in the day when i simmed on fs9 ... but times have changed and now with modern hardware and addons like the NGX the addons I loved in fs-9 just don't cut it anymore..

 

I think the expectations of the FSX user base is now higher.
