November 29, 201213 yr I bought the FlightBeam KPHX 1 week ago. I can not figure out what routes to fly when the 777 is released.
November 29, 201213 yr As far as I know there are no airlines flying 777's out of PHX. British Airways fly their 744 from Heathrow to PHX though they do have 772's in their fleet that could fly the route. You could also do some short flights with Air Canada, Delta, United and American 777's from PHX.
November 29, 201213 yr You need to be aware of the runway lengths here. 7R and 25L is only 7800 feet. 8 and 26 is 11,489 feet. You may be restricted with the weight if you want to fly long-haul or heavy payload. The 77L needs more than 7800 (about 9570 feet at MTOW and ISA+15 MSL) feet to take off. As Hendo pointed out, BA flies their 744 out here. I think they've used their 777 a couple of times. US flies to HNL and I think the HAL A330s/767s also fly out here. So it is capable of US-Europe or US-Pacific flights. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
November 30, 201213 yr Both EVA Air and JAL fly 777 charter flights from here for baseball games for the Mariners and Dodgers every once in awhile John Bauer
November 30, 201213 yr I can confirm a BA 777 was there when I was going on a trip. I saw the 747 dozens of times but the 777 only once. They land on 8/26 since the customs gate is on the NE corner of terminal 4. Chuck Biggins
December 2, 201213 yr I find it realistic to say that various cargo airlines operate non scheduled flights with various airplanes from various approprite airports. Save to assume T7 is shoing up at KPHX for charter ops. Put yourself in a cargo livery and you can pretty much do whatever you like... Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931
