December 11, 201213 yr This one shouldn't be too hard to find. Just look for the hightest peak. Maybe. Enjoy. Thank you. Rick $Silver Donor EAA 1317610 I7-7700K @ 4.5ghz, MSI Z270 Gaming MB, 32gb 3200, Geforce RTX2080 Super O/C, 28" Samsung 4k Monitor, Various SSD, HD, and peripherals
December 11, 201213 yr Not sure what's going on. Chose the Stearman and using lat and lon flew to the approximate cache location and landed on the snow after not finding. Taxied to the point in the aerocache picture and still no luck. I don't have any aids activated for locating the cache but they seem unnecessary here. Anyone else with problems?
December 11, 201213 yr Author I found that you have to get pretty close for the marker to show up. Without it, I probably would have had a hard time too. How about this? Two aerocaches in the same picture. Thank you. December 11, 201213 yr Well, that is just weird! I got almost the exact same picture, but you beat me to it as had not gotten around to putting it up yet. I also took the RV-6 on this one. On returning to the airfield I had forgotten just how hard this thing is to slow down for landing! Also "nothing but blue sky's." Steve
December 11, 201213 yr Finally located it. Chose the RV6 and after criss-crossing the area multiple times finally spotted it. I'd chosen mid-day and clear skies and the aerocache blended in very well with the snow background. Dusk, dawn or night would likely have been a better, if less challenging, choice. Jim Forgot I'd taken a picture.
