December 14, 201213 yr I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question buy I try anyway. Attached is a chart of Palma de Mallorca,STAR RWY 24L/R North,East and I wonder what a) The term SLP means ( see Speed box on the left side of the chart ) B) I see a STAR ( in bold letters ) called MORSS 1P and above MORS1P. Same with RIXOT 1P and RIXO 1P Why the two designations ? Which one is the actual STAR ? I am somewhat confused and appreciate ypur help Hubert Werni Herbert Werni

December 14, 201213 yr Moderator It's the "speed Limiting Point" - IIRC it's where you see the cluster of three *** on the chart around 20 DME from CDP Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
December 14, 201213 yr I believe the longer term (eg... MORSS 1P) is the full designation name, and the abbrieviated version (eg.. MORS1P) is how the STAR is referenced in flight management systems? (which have a maximum character count of 6 letters).
