FSX keeps on "Freezing" on me... Need Help :)

Featured Replies

Hello All! I am pretty new to these forums however I have been playing flight simulator since FS2004, I occurred a problem recently where I would fly in my PMDG 737ngx for about 10-20 minutes after take off, then FSX would just stop working, I could still hear the plane engines but it is obvious the game has froze. I have read over countless forum postings about this and there is a solution but that is for WIN7 32-bit users, I have WIN7 64-bit so I don't know what is wrong with my system. Here are my specs:

HP Pavilion dv6 (Laptop)

Windows 7 64-Bit

6GB RAM

AMD Phenom II P960 Quad-Core Processor 1.80 Ghz

AMD Radeon HD 6470M

P.S. I know I don't have the best computer, however it runs the PMDG 737 at around 23 FPS, I do hope to get a new computer in the future :D

Thanks for all future suggestions for me to try to fix this problem :)

Do you have "highmemfix=1" in the graphics section of your FSX.cfg?

No, I don't have that in my FSX.cfg

You should add it and try your flight again.

"AMD Phenom II P960 Quad-Core Processor 1.80 Ghz"

thats probably why

ZORAN

Google UIAutomaticCore.dll For" VISTA 32bit" NOT for win7 32 or64 and put it in your FSX install directory.

Yea guys, I tried everything but it still crashes but this time instead of 20 minutes, it crashes after 30 minutes :(

Go further down on your graphics settings, and disable traffic. Your CPU is not very well suited for FSX.

Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!

Change your scenery location. If it doesn't do it again you have a bad Scenery sector (maybe a new airport or AFX?). Good luck though.

Cheers,

I think I know the fix for this. there is one particularly nasty culprit when it comes to fsx and I can testify to this solving my ctd issues on two systems now.....disable all anti viruses and anti spyware solutions completely before flying.I dealt with ctds for weeks before I tried thos. I bet it'll work.
