January 6, 201313 yr Can the page file in Win 7 be located on a drive other than the one with the operating system on it? I have a 64gb SSD C: disk for the OS and it is getting low on space so I'd like to move the page file to a 256gb SSD that I have FSX installed on or a 1.5TB mechancial disk (WD Black) that I have for misc stuff. Edit: The page file is 16gb, so would free up a good chunk of my 64gb SSD
January 6, 201313 yr Yes, you'll get a warning it cant save a dump or something to that effect but other than that, shouldn't be a problem. Jay EKlund UVA/GCVA Pile-it

January 6, 201313 yr Author Is that a one time warning, or will it pop up intermittently? I'd like to put it on my SSD FSX drive because it would be fast. Edit: I'm not looking to improve performance, just free up space on my C: drive
January 7, 201313 yr As your using an SSD drive and have plenty of RAM, you can disable the page file completely. Richard... Amateur Pilot and UK Web Hosting Guru 🙂
