January 9, 201313 yr I current use ASE2012, but have heard alot of good things about REX. If I decide to purchase REX do I need to uninstall ASE. Is it possible to use ASE's weather engine with REX's cloud textures? What kind of impact to FPS does REX have. Thanks for the info. John
January 9, 201313 yr I currently use ase 2012 in conjunction with rex 2 overdrive with no problems they are compatible. I am eligible for the free upgrade to rex essential plus overdrive but to be honest after 3 hours trying to download it and then have the file corrupted and unable to install ,i will just continue to use rex 2 od with ase 2012 works like a dream.
January 9, 201313 yr If you don't use REX' weather engine then it's just a texture replacement tool that you run once and forget, until next time you want to change something. If you avoid it's HD textures you won't notice any FPS hit at all and if your gfx card is reasonably new you shouldn't have a problem with the HD ones either. Rolf Lindbom
January 9, 201313 yr I've got REXE+ and thinking about getting AS2012 for the wx engine. Different paths to the same thing. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090
