I got the new DLSS file swapped, but if I go into the Nvidia app and try to change the DLSS Model Override Presets to latest it would let me click apply. Any ideas?

I am having the same issue; it runs for a second in the tray then disappears. Any ideas?

Finally got access to the windowsapp folder, but when I try to copy the two files it says I don't have enough space. There is 511gb free on my hard drive, does anyone know how to get the files copied into the directory?

Recently installed Xplane 10 and have noticed that the winds aloft have disappeared, above 5000 ft the winds go to 0. Is anyone else having this problem?

I have noticed on the latest release that the engine sound does not change at all as you advance the throttles from idle to about 66.5% N1? Above 66.5% N1 everything appears normal. Also, there doesn't appear to be any thrust reverser sound? Anyone else have these issues? Thanks, John

Jim, Disregard my comments, I've edited my post. Apparently you have to uninstall version 1.0 before installing version 1.1. That took care of the problem for me. Sorry for the confusion. Regards, John

Just a note, you have uninstall the original version before installing version 1.1 for the changes to happen. I was a little disappointed at first, but after uninstalling and re-installing things seem much better. John

Just installed the latest update and after about 30 minutes of flying I get a C+++ runtime error and FSX shuts down. I didn't have a problem before installing the update. Any ideas?

Has anyone had any luck with transferring fuel from the ventral tank to the wing tanks? I can transfer it just fine, but when the ventral tank is empty and I don't catch it in time the engines quit. Am I not doing something right? Thanks, John

I have great FPS, but agree this is a complete disappointment. Its really nothing more than a default plane that looks great. Engine synch doesn't work, FLC doesn't work, the FMS is extremely basic. It is incredibly under powered on the ground and at altitude, too much drag at altitude any adjustment in power equals extreme changes in airspeed. I'm done with these guys. They need to stick with the basics, I'm thinking a J-3 Cub is what they are capable of. Certainly not a $50 business jet add-on. Save your money, its not worth it. Best Regards, John P.S. FSX runs great on my system the way it is currently set up, but I haven't updated my Nvidia video card drivers in 2 years. If I update the drivers will I notice any improvement in FPS, or video quality. Is the update really worth risking a perfectly good setup? I'm concerned that I will run into problems after the update. Does anyone have any comments regarding this? Should I do it, or just leave it alone? Is it worth it? Thanks, John

I've just downloaded and installed the free version of Aomei and am a bit confused. Which option do I select to backup my entire system so that if my hard drive would fail I can simply copy the files back into the new hard drive without losing and FSX add-ons, etc.? Do I clone the disk to my external hard drive? Will that allow me to transfer the files back onto a new drive if my current one fails? Thanks, John

It is released. I've bought and downloaded it, but can't install it because I didn't received a serial number.

I agree, its a great idea, but it looks too big and awkward. Might better suited for one of those grill your own steak restaurants. We just bought a propane fire pit for our patio...it works great and it doesn't smell up the house.

The reinstall didn't help. It is definitely the Reality XP GNS530 that is causing the problems which has been working great for the last 18 months. I am not sure what has changed, I have tried everything and am out of ideas. Thanks for your help. John

Jim, that's not very encouraging. ;-P My thought is that something may be corrupt with my GNS530 installation and that by uninstalling and then reinstalling the software it would correct any corrupt files. At this point I do not have any other ideas. I guess it can't hurt to try? Best Regards, John

Thank you, for the clarification Jim. I think I have the problem narrowed in on my Reality XP GNS530 installation. I will try uninstalling then reinstalling this evening to see if that takes care of the problem. Is there any special procedure for uninstalling the GNS530 to be sure all files are removed, or can I simply uninstall it from windows control panel? Best Regards, John

So why the move? Its not a crash to desk top, it just freezes. My post probably would have seen more traffic in the FSX forum...increasing the chances for a fix. I will be lucky to get any responses here in the CTD forum. Thanks! John

I haven't tried leaving the avionics master on, but will give that a try. Something else I just thought of, I use Foreflight on my Ipad connected to FSX through FSX flight. Foreflight just went through an upgrade when this started happening. If I look at task manager when the hang occurs it says both FSX flight (which connects Foreflight to FSX) and FSX are not responding. I am going to try not using Foreflight to see if that helps.

But I haven't changed anything with regard to graphics in the sim and it had been running perfectly. I see that windows did an automatic update on the 10th and that is when I started having problems, could that have messed up some system files? Is it possible my antivirus is somehow interrupting the ntdll.dll file causing the issue? I tried doing a system restore, but for whatever reason that didn't work. What about the bloom affect? I just started using that recently, but I wouldn't see how that is tied to the avionics master switch.

The newest version of FSUIPC did not help. My event log just says application hang, it doesn't give any specific details. There was an error with the ntdll.dll file, but I am not sure if that has anything to do with FSX. This is frustrating.

No problem. So far it has happened on the following aircraft... Milviz 310R Carenado C340 Carenado Cirrus SR22 It seems to only happen after a flight that is at least 1 hour long. I am testing the new FSUPIC right now, I will let you know how that goes. Thank you for your help. John

I just double checked and the version I had been using was 4.929. I just downloaded and installed the version from the above link and will give it a try. I do have the registered version of FSUIPC and it appears to happening on all aircraft with the Reality XP 530 installed. I will try version "c" and report back. Thanks again for the great info.
