I don't think it requires you to be an American, at least I hope not. As this has far greater implications than just the US. Lawsuits like this has to stop. Companies need to learn to invent their own stuff not invent ways to steal others stuff. And what they claim is the basis of the suit, why have they not gone after governments as they use the same technology that they claim is their idea. It sent me a confirmation email, was then able to sign the petition.
