January 18, 201313 yr Can anyone help, after take off in my PMDG 737 and climbing to around 15000 ft my plane starts making turns on its own while its set on AP. Please help, starts after reaching high altitude and will not let me fly manually without making violent turns to left and right.

That's the S-turns around your track when on autopilot, an effect caused by turbulence. It's usually recommended to disable turbulence in whatever weather program you're using. Or, you could hand fly in turbulence, which is probably what you should be doing anyway, but no one ever does that. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! January 18, 201313 yr Get registered version of FSUIPC and use the weather smoothing feature. MSFS winds are notoriousely bad. Dan Downs KCRP
January 19, 201313 yr Get registered version of FSUIPC and use the weather smoothing feature. MSFS winds are notoriousely bad. Agree with Dan. I recently had the same experience when I forgot I had not selected wind calming etc in my registered version of FSUIPC. Before I got into my FSUIPC, I could fix the S turns by work out where the wind was coming from and go out of LNAV, and select a heading into the wind to compensate, sort of like I do in my real aircraft when flying into crosswinds and fly the route manually. When I paused the flight and added selected wind calming in FSUIPC, the effect was immediate and I could resume LNAV. I'm looking for a good weather engine, though I suspect, FSUIPC will still be required. Regards Geoff Bryce
January 20, 201313 yr Commercial Member I too had this issue, but honestly, it could be deeper than that. It could be your weather program. But definitely get FSUIPC, and enable the wind smoothing. Report back here with your results. I can't be in all places at once. If you see someone is having an issue with an Angle of Attack product, or something that should be brought to my attention, please message me. I want everyone to have a stellar experience with AOA. January 20, 201313 yr . I'm looking for a good weather engine, Check out Opus http://www.opussoftware.co.uk/opusfsi.htm . A great deal of effort has gone into dealing with MSFS "notoriously bad" winds. ANd you get proper winds aloft and should you be flying from where you live, the weather in the simulator will match that out your window. Richard Richard Wolff

January 21, 201313 yr Hi Richard, Chris, Been looking at Opus recently, seems to provide accurate winds aloft, which is what I want. But you also have to get a cloud generator as well such as AS2012, with the winds turned off. Opus recommend FEX or HDEv2 with the sky upgraded for FSX. Regards Geoff Bryce
January 21, 201313 yr Commercial Member HDEv2? I just like to keep things simple with ActiveSky. They aren't perfect, but it works well. I wouldn't recommend FEX for weather generation. If you're talking about cloud generator in the sense of building cloud layers, then that'll work. But if you're looking for weather textures, get REX. I can't be in all places at once. If you see someone is having an issue with an Angle of Attack product, or something that should be brought to my attention, please message me. I want everyone to have a stellar experience with AOA.
