DX10 With Multiple Monitors

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something here. Are you trying to stretch FSX over two monitors? If so, you're on your own kid!

As far as three screen setups go...Waaay outta my league. :unknw:

LOL No Ron,

At the moment I fly full screen using my Asus 27" Monitor and have a 2nd 15" LCD in front that I drag the PFD & ND when flying the NGX & 777

I would like to in the future try 3 screens but not yet.

Hi Richdem, Greg here!

I've flown FSX on three 25 inch screens in 5096 x 1080 resolution and/or lower resolutions for several years now.

Starting with ATI's Eyefinity and thenNvidia's Surround.

Both are comparable IMO and very immersive, but the Nvidia is much better for FSX obviously!

Easy to set up and your 780 wouldhandle three screens with ease.

Out of curiosity,  I decided to hook my Computer to my 50 inch LG 3D T.V. the T.V being on the other side of my computer room wall.

I just ran an HDMIcable through an existing cable outlet!

I was so impressed at the clarity and lack of input lag, that I ditched my tripple monitor setup and bought another 50inch LG 3D T.V.for my main monitor.

Four to five feet away and was able to toss my readers

FSX in 3D's a hoot too!

Despite how they are sold toyou, 240hz or 120hz refresh rates, I have both...they are not...they are 60hz @ 1920 x 1080...but I digress!!

Now I have three extra 25 inch monitors and was wanting to hook one or two up for gauge panels. The how to doc helped, except my main monitor isunflyable @ 10 FPS  :( with just one extra monitor the stock panel GPS!!!

I tried everything, and to make matters worse, I see these YouTube FSX setupswith large monitors or tripple screen set ups with an extra gauge monitor, and they are working fine! There must be a  software interface solution to solve this seemingly simple yet frustrating problem!

Hope you can work it out and let us know!

Hi Greg,

So it looks like we're on a quest together. I never tried the 3 monitors with surround but it does work ok ?

I am sure it's a vsymc problem. My last thought is to run my main monitor off a DVI cable. Then use the 2nd monitor with a VGA to dvi adapter.

When you tried adding a 2nd monitor did FSX start on your main screen or you 2nd ? Again I cannot force FSX to Start on my main screen. I am sure it's linked

Not sure how much time I'll have this weekend but I'll report back any findings.

Hi Richard.

Until I stumbled across the big monitor I thought I was in FSX Nirvana with three screen surround! There was a slight learning

curve, but they worked great!

Whether I ran DVI, HDMI or DVI / VGA,  FSX always started on the smaller screen!

Nvidia control panel / screen resolution panel allows you to extend the desktop.

I would drag my  windowed  FSX to my Larger screen, start a flight,

I would then re-size GPS gauge to fit, (slightly smaller), undock and drag to smaller monitor careful not to left click anywhere outside

the gauge! It worked, but as soon as I full screened FSX...from 30 FPS to 10...

One thing I did NOT try is windowed vsync...hmmmm???

We'll get there I'm sure! have a good weekend!
