February 2, 201313 yr Another idea just came to my mind: Do you happen to have FS9 traffic installed on your machine, too? (I.e. for example World of AI or Military AI Works) If so, there's your culprit: If you have one single FS9 traffic file, no FSX native traffic will show up! This may well be your problem, they way you describe it sounds just like that. Regards, Flo Florian
February 2, 201313 yr Author No I don't have FS9 installed. I will try updating it to 5.4b with a fresh install again. Büke Yolaçan
February 2, 201313 yr No I don't have FS9 installed. It's not FS9 per se, it's just traffic files in the old FS9 format, which usually come with some freeware AI packages. If you happened to have some of those packages (or actually even one single) installed prior to installing MTX, MyTraffic's AI planes won't appear. The most common freeware packages are by World of AI. Best will probably be to report back, if reinstalling MyTrafffic doesn't do the trick. Regards, Flo Florian
February 2, 201313 yr Author I don't have any other AI installed. I will report back the result. Büke Yolaçan
February 2, 201313 yr Author I reinstalled again with latest patch and still no static aircraft or traffic. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I also added MyTraffic folder as FSX scenery. Here it is some line from my fsx.cfg shows that I configured it correct. SimObjectPaths.6=MyTraffic\Aircraft Büke Yolaçan
February 2, 201313 yr I don't have any other AI installed. I will report back the result. It doesn't require any other AI addon you to have FS9 compatible traffic on your system. Just some FS9 based scenery addon which includes some FS9 traffic files ruins the rest in your sim. Remember, traffic is based on traffic bgl files (well, UT2 does it differently, but with MTX or default). You can use MTX communicator to search all your traffic files and if it locates other than MTX files, try to disable them (change .bgl extension to .bgl.bak for example) to rule every one of them out. With every other traffic file disabled, you should see only MTX generating traffic and with airliner set to 30%, you should see quite nice AI in larger airports (KLAX, KORD etc.). If not, something is wrong with MTX installation. Just found out your last post and there is nothing wrong with model path. Use MTX communicator to search all traffic files. That is in manage FSX settings or something like that ( I use Prepar3d verion) and undet that there is search for traffic files. And one thing: HAVE YOU ADDED MTX TO YOUR SCENERY LIBRARY! Without that, FSX can't load any of the bgls and you can't see any traffic as default is already disabled by MTX. Edit: I have a strong feeling that you have missed the last part as the most obvious is not mentioned here so far
February 2, 201313 yr Author I said I added MTX folder to my scenery library. Do I need to select subfolder or the main folder? Also I opened MTX communicator and clicked to search traffic files and then a dos screen opened doing nothing. Also in communicator it says TrafficDataBasebuilder not yet copied. Is this the cause of the problem? Büke Yolaçan
February 2, 201313 yr I said I added MTX folder to my scenery library. Do I need to select subfolder or the main folder? Sorry, missed that one. SimObjects path is still different from your scenery library and you need both. Then there must be FS9 compatible traffic file somewhere so try to use search I mentioned and list the results here. Edit: And besides that. Just to check that your instalaltion is succesful, check that you have: MyTraffic folder inside your FSX folder with Aircraft subfolder about 9,5GB of data. That is the location where models are. And, you have Scenery folder under MyTraffic folder where you have about 260 megs of files (about 2600 or something as amount) and there is mytrafficclosed.bgl, mytrafficcommercial.bgl, mytrafficglobal.bgl and mytrafficmil.bgl among bunch of others. If you have added MyTraffic folder to your scenery library, then there is no reason your traffic doesn't work unless you have FS9 traffic file somewhere. Edit2: And MyTraffic folder is the correct one to add to the scenery library as FSX reads automatically from that folder the Scenery folder and all the bgl files under that. So it seems you have done everything correctly. Only thing is possible FS9 files or failed installation as I mentioned.
February 2, 201313 yr Hi i have this add on and i run it at 11% which is realistic for me. I always have planes on gates and few planes landing and taking off. 1- Make sure you select the FSX folder for installation 2- Run the MyTrafficX installer 'MTXV5x.exe' by double clicking on it.After this, user interaction is limited to one more mouse click (on 'Exit') while a DOS-like window (& this document) will appear. Please don't interrupt the following process. Closing the window prematurely will cause an incompleteMyTrafficX installation. 3- Adding the MTX aircraft entry into the FSX.cfg At the end of the second phase of the installation, the MyTraffic Communicator gets started. Please select "Manage FSX settings" -> Manage FSX.cfg. 4- Adding the scenery library entry The final step is adding a MyTraffic layer to the Scenery library. In order to do so, start Flight Simulator X and go to the 'Settings' tab and select 'Scenery library'Users of Windows 7 may experience a little deviation: When they press OK the MyTraffic folder will open. Just right click into it on an empty position once, and all is OK. X-Plane11 GTX1070 8GB Vram - i7 4770K cpu @3.5GHz Quad core - 16GB RAM
February 2, 201313 yr Author I just did what you say and controlled and I have no missing file and its 11.6gb. Its installed in another drive cause I don't have any space left on SSD so I pointed the scenery to the location in that drive. I got that list when I search for traffic bgl files. If anyone uses Skype it would be great to talk about my problem. February 2, 201313 yr H:\Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\aerosoft\AES\AIRPORT\EDDF_2005\eddf_fs9_gmax_objects_LIB-AES.bgl This pops up. Seems like FS9 traffic file. If not that, try to disable first one, because It doesn't seem familiar to me. Everything else seems FSX.
February 2, 201313 yr Author I deleted all the traffic files beside MyTraffic and still no traffic. I also tried renaming fsx traffic file extension but nothing changed. I am bored of this. Büke Yolaçan
February 2, 201313 yr I deleted all the traffic files beside MyTraffic and still no traffic. I also tried renaming fsx traffic file extension but nothing changed. I am bored of this. This is just puzzling. MTX creates traffic based on the SDK. No Simconnect, WideFS or any other communication methods: just loading models from the MyTraffic\Aircraft folder and traffic schedules from scenery folder. If there aren't any other traffic files to comment off, I can't offer more help. It should work. Period. Contact Burkhard on support forums, he is helpful and will get you through this.
February 3, 201313 yr Author I tried everything but no luck. I will try Ultimate Traffic 2 now. I didn't like the interface of MTX anyways. Update : UT2 works correctly and there is traffic in the air with real airplane company liveries but for example in Zurich Airport, there are like 5 parked AI plane waiting. I wanted it to be like a real airport with full of airplanes. UT2 sliders are %100 and FSX is %30. Any solution? Büke Yolaçan
February 3, 201313 yr Author I fixed my problem finally. UT2 planes load slow but at least I got what I wanted. Thanks to all who replied Büke Yolaçan
