I'm sorry to say our server is really down, it's possible our host is doing maintenance (some maintenance was scheduled, but they haven't said it would happen today...). This affects the forum and the web site but NOT the actual downloads.

There's a mirror site going up, that will show up as soon as your DNS will be updated (this depends on your IPS DNS update timeout), which will point to this page:

http://www.virtualisoftware.com/fsdt_backup.html

This contains all the download links, which are all working.

As some users already pointed out, fact the website is down doesn't have anything to do with the activation.

No internet connection is ever needed if you don't change your hardware. And even if you do, the activation check is done only once, and not on our website, but on Esellerate's.

But, as explained on the backup page, it might affect the installation, because your installer might not contain the latest version of the Addon Manager that is usually downloaded online from our server. Note that, even here we have two mirrors and the installer chose the one to be used randomly at start so, you might just try the installation another time, and you'll eventually get files from the mirror.

In this case, to be sure you have everything updated as if the server was up, just download and install the Stand-Alone Addon Manager AFTER everything else, the link for it is also on the backup page.

The forum is down too, but email support is working, since we are spread on many servers, so email hasn't been affected.

Thanks for the response Umberto! Do you have any ETA of when the main servers might be up?

I already have the Add-On Manager installed and operational in FSX from other FSDT Airports I have installed. I'll give JFK another try and see what happens.

On a side note: I do enjoy your airports, VERY well done indeed.

Cheers, Rob.

Just tried to install JFK again, but sadly still having the same problem and all my FSDT airport buildings are missing not just JFK:

As the backup page says, when the FSDT site is down, you should install with the network disconnected, and you'll see an option to use the local version of the files, which are included in the installer.

Or, just try again the installer, until you get the mirror server, so that download error will not happen.

And, at the end of the installation, download and install the current version of the Stand-Alone Addon Manager, which always contains the very latest version of all the files that were supposed to be downloaded from the server.

In any case, the FSDT site is back online now, but in order to see it, you need to wait until your ISP DNS will be notified of the update from the backup server back to the normal server.

All is working great now, installed successfully and it looks awesome! Great job and thank you for the very prompt and responsive support.

Cheers, Rob.

As I said I would in a upper post, I bought GSX today, without issue. :)

Yeah I was trying out the demo and was very happy with it, look forward to future updates also.
