February 3, 201313 yr I can get to their main page here: http://www.fsdreamteam.com/products.html But if I click on any button "Info" or "Download FSX Version" it just times out with no response from server. Happening at 10:07 PM PT Anyone else have a problem?
February 3, 201313 yr Yeah, and now all my airports that I purchased from them are no longer visible ... the lack of server connection seems to have but them ALL into their "Trial" mode? Add-on manager shows that I have everything installed and active ... are their airports really tied to server availability ... I'd hate to be doing a flight and fine the airport buildings have gone just because their server went down. I hope I'm wrong.

I really hope there is no access to their server everytime I launch one of their airport in FsX... If this is the case, I would uninstall all my fsdreamteam products straiht away ! too much, too soon....
February 3, 201313 yr If that is the case that would be vey very bad.... I really hope there is no access to their server everytime I launch one of their airport in FsX... If this is the case, I would uninstall all my fsdreamteam products straiht away ! I don't know if that's the case, just can't figure out why all my FSDT airport buildings are no longer showing ... I was in the middle of installing JFK and got and error saying it couldn't update. Loaded FSX and the discovered all my FSDT airports (KLAX, KLAS, KSFO, and more) were not showing any buildings. So was about to go ask for some support via FSDT site and that's when I noticed their site was down also ... it may just be a coincidence, I don't know ... or just really bad timing for their site to go down during the middle of my JFK install .. apparently the installer downloads something during the install process. So who knows, can anyone else with FSDT airport check to see if their buildings are showing at this very moment when their servers are down? Please.
February 3, 201313 yr I was sitting at KDFW at the time of you first post, no problems, all buildings visible. Graham Smith NZAA
February 3, 201313 yr Moderator So who knows, can anyone else with FSDT airport check to see if their buildings are showing at this very moment when their servers are down? I was just in FSX a few minutes ago and fired it up to check and all my stuff from FSDT is fine. Basically once its activated normally then it will show even if their site is down, which is what mine did. In your case, installing a scenery during this could be a problem if the install process cant download the necessary files in needs during the process. Granted its an inconvenience that probably couldn't be avoided on their end since sites/servers go down for all types of problems, but once its back up you should be able to just re-install JFK and be fine. Umberto and FSDT are some of the best in the industry and will be able to help you once their site is back up if you still have problems after you try running the JFK installer again. February 3, 201313 yr Thanks for the quick response all. Goods news, well sorta -- it's only affecting me and not others. Sounds like I'll have to uninstall them all and wait for their site/server to come back to life and re-install them all and re-active. EDIT: It's a little odd that just one airport install problem could wipe out all the others.
February 3, 201313 yr Moderator Sounds like I'll have to uninstall them all and wait for their site/server to come back to life and re-install them all and re-active. Any of the ones you already had installed prior to the site going down should still be fine once you are able to re-install JFK, as long as they were already activated. Once the site comes up just re-run the JFK installer and check in FSX to make sure they are all working. Also once in FSX, using the drop-down menu, check the Couatl button and the Check for Update and let it see if everthing is up to date. It might say that you need to quit FSX and install the latest Addon Manager. If so, just re-download it from their products page and check in FSX to make sure all the airports are fine before you spend a bunch of time uninstalling and reinstalling all of them again. February 3, 201313 yr yes confirmed...... the buildings show up even with website/server down. too much, too soon....
February 3, 201313 yr I believe cmpbellsjc is describing it accurately. The only reason your buildings were not visible is because a server connection could not be made during your install of one of their sceneries. This prevented the download of the add-on manager which effectively disables any add-on dependent on it. Once you get a clean install everything should clear up. - Aaron

Correct, no Addon Manager=no buildings. Since the install process includes downloading the necessary files, which it wasn't able to get during his JFK install it basically rendered all the FSDT airports he currently had installed not usable. Trying to reinstall an already downloaded stand alone Addon Manager that you may have laying around on your hard drive wont work either since it will also need to download necessary files during the install process. Nothing can really be done until their servers come up if you were caught in the midst of an install. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
