Average Flight Duration

Featured Replies

This morning I droned from Adak to Kahului in the C46, a long flight :-). That started me wondering about the average duration of my flights. I divided my flight time total by the sum of my landings and crashes. I came up with .3036 hours, about eighteen minutes per flight, on average. I don't know what to think about that, but there it is.

No thanks :-)!

my MD-11 flights average over 5 hours and the 727 flights average just under 2 hours. My virtual airline keeps tabs so I know lol.

The fact that you can get an MD-11 to stay in the air during FLIGHT is simply amazing.

not if you're flying the PMDG MD-11 and you program the FMC correctly. Keeping it in the air is easy, getting it back down is another story...

Can you explain how you manage to do that in FLIGHT?

if you're having a problem in flight it's your fmc programming. Unless you're using a weather engine that knocks out your autopilot.

if you're having a problem in flight it's your fmc programming that is at fault. Unless you're using weather that changes so much that it knocks out your autopilot. So which is it?

No, I think the problem is that you are posting in a forum that does not relate to your simming. Use FSX? Good for you, I do too. But this is not the FSX forum, nor is it the FS9 forum. There's the *problem*! It really helps to look at the forum heading to make sure your comments are in a relevant forum, rather than to click on a recent thread and start typing away.

So unless you have found a method to get a MD-11 into Microsoft FLIGHT, your comments have no relevance to the thread and subject matter. Comments respectfully submitted.

:LMAO:

Actually the problem is yourself and others assumed he was talking about Microsoft Flight when he actually meant flight aka being airborne.

The only thing that has zero relevance was that big paragraph of scathing SAM (self appointed moderator) dribble you just wrote.

How does your foot taste?

Well then can you tell me what this comment

"if you're having a problem in flight it's your fmc programming. Unless you're using a weather engine that knocks out your autopilot. "

.....has to do with MSFLIGHT?

If you guys want to bash him just because he gave a reply that has to do with the thread subject go ahead.

People can't post in cross-platform forums without having their heads ripped off just for contributing.

This community sucks sometimes.

It's a little sad.

Actually guys I thought it was kind of funny. It was obviously a simple mistake with no malice intended. I was enjoying the back and forth.

No need to get our feathers ruffled.

So lets all    and move on with this interesting subject..

Thank you.

It's clear meshman's response is dripping with malice.

And for what? Just to put someone else down? We're supposed to be a community not a bunch of tribes taking potshots at each other because someone crossed from the fsx territories into the ms flight territories.

I'm done here. Sorry for the rant but stuff like this is completely unnecessary and turns a screw for me.
