Traffic add-on recommendation

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've been using VOXATC for some time now, but always with the default FSX traffic (i.e. the generic airline names). I was hoping that someone could recommend a traffic add-on (e.g. MyTrafficX) that would work with VOXATC to

1. Provide realistic and more varied airline liveries and callsigns (as opposed to the default FSX names).

2. A frame rate improvement (currently the frame rate hit from VOXATC is considerable). I understand that some of these other traffic add-ons optimise the 3D models of their AI traffic to improve performance.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I've been using the free World of AI and it's been working fairly well so far with VoxATC. Although I see that the World of AI project is going to be discontinued soon, so if you want to try it out, you'll need to act fast:

So far the only issue I've had is that some of the AI traffic generated by VoxATC is taxing on the grass and stuff at KATL (my home airport); I'm using the ImagineSim KATL 2012 scenery package, so it could be an issue unrelated to VoxATC.

I use My Traffic X with FSX. It has a very nice variety of aircraft and liveries. I'm not a huge fan of the way VOX handle AI traffic. There seems to be little visible traffic once you're airborne.

Went with WOAI in the end, which does what I wanted (and, handily, is free). Many thanks for replying.

I'll be interested to see how this works out. Thanks for the link.

Am also getting a bit sick of Orbit airways everywhere, would be interested to hear what people are using.

BTW when I look at the traffic in EFB it all seems to be behind me as if the traffic engine is optimised for GA and just not keeping up with my position (I tend to fly atm in a Citation X).

Sorry folks, the software here was reported to AVSIM as pirated material.  I will clarify the OP is not the pirate, instead the developers are allegedly the ones who take other's work without permission.  This has not been verified by AVSIM, but just to be safe...  I'll have to shut this down.

Sincerely,

Chase
