August 27, 200421 yr Does anyone know if FS2002 has an option to have some kind of symbol shown in the middle of the screen to help you visually center yourself to a target? I think it might look something like the winged symbol in the middle of the artificial horizon display. I guess you could think of it as a "bug on the canopy." Or is there an add-on program for FS2002 that would have it?Thanks!Christine
August 27, 200421 yr That's a built in feature. Avilable in earlier and later versions as well.Click "View Options..." on the "Views" menu. Chose your Axis Indicator useing the dropdown towards the lower left corner of the dialog.
May 15, 201511 yr I found the drop down for the axis indicator easy enough but when I activate it the program locks up and eventually windows announces that the program is no longer responding. Is there a patch for this? I have FS2002 Professional edition.

I have to ask, how in blue blazes did a post made in 2004 even make its way into the FSX forums. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. May 18, 201511 yr Commercial Member Because in 2004 there wasn't an FSX forum, everyone ran the same sim so there was simply an "MSFS forum" that covered them all. When FSX was released very few made the switch so most of the posts in the MSFS forum were still about FS9. They tried to make us prefix all our thread titles with the sim version so everyone knew which sim the thread was about but people didn't comply. Eventually the grumbling got loud enough that they finally created an FS9 forum. The MSFS forum then became the FSX forum and all the previous threads stayed there.
May 18, 201511 yr I have to ask, how in blue blazes did a post made in 2004 even make its way into the FSX forums. It was magic. FSX is a program that was developed after FS2K2. Evidently Tom had simply kept FS2K2 topics in the new FSX forum. Modlerbob may be playing with us here at AVSIM by indicating he has FS2K2 Pro installed and is seeking help. I moved it to this forum as it does not pertain to FSX and it is like Sam walking into a Hangar somewhere and asking our members hanging around the Hangar as question about FS2K2. We have been trying our hardest to limit searches to only 2 years back but somehow this got through the blocks. Modlerbob somehow found it and thought someone could answer his question by bringing this topic back up to the top of the forums. I don't expect anyone to have the ability to answer is question but, maybe, just maybe Modlerbob will be lucky and there are members still running FS2K2. I searched Google and there are many individuals seeking support for FS2K2 but there is a serious issue about compatibility with the latest OS's - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-gaming/programs-compatibility-windows-7-and-fs2002. @Moblerbob - AVSIM does not have a support forum for flight simulators prior to FS9.
