Airbus 320 Neo

Featured Replies

Any one using the 64 bit version of Airbua 320 Neo by JARdesign?

I bought it yesterday and updated to 64 bit as per their upgrade and operating from cold and dark, I cannot not get the Nav display (heading, ect:) to work. It just stays totally dark.

Have tried several times with no success.

Going to try to reinstall the origional file and try to run in 32 bit mode.

Not sure if I have missed something in the tutorial for start up or its the update file thats not working.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Richard

Just bought it myself. Same issue for me re. nav display. And I have another one; using HDR my green and cyan colors vanish from the FMS. No difference for me between 64/32 bit. I've had this bug in other aircraft as well, such as the ATR/72. However my 777 seems to be working just fine.

the neo 64bit is a beta

Whilst the Neo certainly has potential, I find it absolutely wrong that they can sell a beta version without making it crystal clear to the consumer that it is in fact a beta you are buying. At least when buying X-plane 10 itself, I knew what I was buying into. Now it seems even add-on aircraft are being sold in beta state. Next they'll be selling us alpha builds or maybe just a promise. Not a good business model in my opinion and it certainly doesn't build customer confidence. Now time to turn my cabin tempature down as "There is too hot in the cabin, sir".

Anybody who owns the Neo should understand that one  . Oh and don't forget the 'life west' under your seat!

P.S. don't let my comments put you off getting the Neo, it's still a great aircraft if a little incomplete.

I feel the same way. It'll probably be good. Eventually. However I can't really recommend it at this point.

a320neo is a great aircraft. In case you are using Windows, there is a known memory leak bug for 64bit SASL since X-Plane 10.20rc2. You need to wait for an 64bit SASL update. Everything should work OK on Mac in 64bit.

And yes, a320neo is a beta in 64bit.

Just curious why didn't you get the A321 from Peter Aircraft:

That Airbus seem much better with systems simulated and also a good looking 3D model as well.

:O no vc, just 2D until later this year when Peter releases a 3D VC for an additional cost  :(

Watched the online videos of it and liked the features it offered.. Still can,t believe they would send it out, even beta, without a working nav display.Just hope it won,t take too long to fix and make right. Been waiting for the default 747 to be fixed. Since 64 bit have not been able to tune the radio frequencies.

Thanks for the replies. I am assumiing that there is no one who has A321 Nero is able to run ot properly in 64 bit mode.?

Hard to go back to 32 bit after using 64 bit.

Also today I got an email from JAR design and they are working on the problem. Something to do with codes changing and cooming up with a new plug in to solve it.

Thats encouraging!
