:O FREE and Awesome! wow it looks like payware....bravo! :yahoo: :clapping: :drinks:

This looks good... time to try!

Edit: Yah it's great. A lot better than any of my other freeware (that's not saying much since I just started XP)...

I only wish the author created the click and drag mouse spot (the icon is the ( and ) with the - and + )...would make tuning easier... and maybe some sort of turn coordinator.... I don't see one on the "Avidyne" type PFD.

Hmmm, looks like I'm also having some serious autopilot oscillations. I've noticed this in XP... if you change your speed , even with a vertical mode set the thing pitches all over the place until your speed is constant. Anyone else seeing this? Could be a setup issue on my end.

Finally, if anyone knows how to get NAV2 displayed on the HSI (along with nav1) let me know. I know the source button changes which is active but I'd love to have both on at the same time (RMI gauge).

Overall, the thing flies well by hand, smooth fps performance. Graphics are great, VC is pretty sharp as far as XP addons go. Decent sounds too!

If there is a RMI in this aircraft I haven't found too!

EDIT: i've found the NAV2 arrow. It's the green arrow on the FMS arc.

No AP instabilities for me. Smooth.

I've found a cool feature on the FMS screen: weather radar!

How do I set the PFD to show an arc? I'm not seeing that option. You're saying you've got both NAV1 and 2 displayed at the same time on the PFD EHSI?

Hi all,

I flew this from Rio to Sao Paulo yesterday and am quite impressed! Nice virtual cockpit and beautiful external model. However it displays some alarming behaviour on autopilot with altitude hold engaged, pitching up and down like a rollercoaster. That said it is quite easy to hand fly and trim to level flight and I found it rock steady on the approach.

Cheers

Ryan,

The arc i was talking about is in the display in the middle, not on the PFD.

It can't show NAV1 and NAV2 needles at the same time on the PFD.

How do I set the PFD to show an arc? I'm not seeing that option. You're saying you've got both NAV1 and 2 displayed at the same time on the PFD EHSI?

Yep this is what I found too. Seems to be most noticeable when auto throttle engaged above 250 kias.

To add, this is what I'm seeing. Usually happens with ATHR engaged at speeds greater than 250 kias

Hard to believe this is freeware. I'm thinking this guy has future as a commercial aircraft developer.

Yeah just square away the pitching problem and add a display for coordinated turns and degrees of bank.
