August 11, 201411 yr Yes, I manually entered it into the 777 and then saved it. I tried to use it in the MD11 about a week later. It still works in the 777. Cheers David Cook I am going to be doing a KOAK-RJAA in the MD-11 tonight. I will set the route up in the 777F and save it. I will then do the flight in the MD-11 with the saved route from the T7 and see what happens. Michael Cubine
August 12, 201411 yr Yes, I manually entered it into the 777 and then saved it.I manually entered the KOAK-RJAA route into the T7, saved it, moved it to the FKIGHTPLANS folder and then tried to use it in the MD-11. I came up with the same results you did right down to the freeze when I tied KOAK/RJAA. I do notice a difference in the routes created by the T7 and the planners that I use. There appears to be more numbers between waypoints on the left hand margin with T7 routes than the MD-11 routes created by the planners. I have no answer. If you want to pursue this you should probably submit a ticket to PMDG at http://support.precisionmanuals.com/Main/Default.aspx. If you do submit a ticket, tell me what the end results are. Thank you Michael Cubine
January 10, 201511 yr Not sure if this is the right place to post as the topic is old, but I screwed up and tried to open a .rte file using firefox browser. Now all of my .rte files will only open using Firefox. Does anyone know what program I need to reference so that the FMS can read the .rte file? What reads the .rte file? And where is it located? Now when I try and use a CO route, it will not recognize the .rte file. This thread was the closest thing I could find concerning this. This is for the MD-11 FS9 using Win8. Thanks, Andrew
January 11, 201511 yr You should have started a new thread really. Anyhow try this FS9\PMDG\Flightplans right click on a .rte file and select open/select a pogram from a list/select notepad/tick the box for "always use this program to open this type of file" Peter Schluter
