Hi there, Following a set of steps posted by a user on the A2A forums, I was able to successfully get the RXP GTN 650 to work with the A2A Connie. However it does involve more than just using the RXP in-sim menu to get the gauge working since a few clickspots and knobs aren't able to be interacted with. For anyone who visits this thread in the future and wants to use the RXP in an airplane optimized for the F1, you can follow the steps here to get it working.

Hi guys, I wanted to look into the Flight1 GTN 650 for use with an A2A product but it seems to not exist on the Flight1 website anymore. The only avionics product in their lineup is the G500/G600 which in fact need the GTN complete series to work. Would anyone possibly know how I could get my hands on the F1 GTN at this time, or has the product been permanently discontinued?

Of course!

Never really seen CS's censorship in action but got to experience it myself for the first time today. The OP of the original "What justifies this price" post started another thread and I replied with this: https://imgur.com/iefupuw Lo and Behold, not even two minutes later, all the lines except the first were gone which only left point number 1, so they played themselves because now anyone can see it's obviously been edited. I honestly find this quite comical. https://imgur.com/XMAKn5Q (two minutes later) This is unbelievable. Edit: Just realized they did remove the "1." so people can't even tell it's been edited. What a joke of a company. Edit 2: I have been banned from their forums. Edit 3: Just used a VPN to get check back on the thread and my edit about my post being censored is also gone lol

Everyone who has flown it is complaining about various features (or the lack thereof) that don't seem to be functioning properly. Mostly related to bugged cockpit lighting (which CS fail to acknowledge is a problem and would rather bring themselves down in front of their customers for by saying "it's too much work"), missing buttons in the cockpit and texture issues among more. Someone on FSElite who got it said it flies better than the 757 but that's just about the only positive thing I've heard.
-
Just gave them quite the bashing. Honestly, arguing with their logic is like shooting fish in a barrel at this point. Nothing they say makes any sense and you can tell they're in damage control. And to that I say: good, let them suffer. If words don't have enough of an impact the lack of cash inflow in their bank accounts certainly will. Let's keep on em.
-
Hey Guys, just wanted to throw in a little update that I've written to one of FSElite's editorial team members detailing most of what's been discussed here along with OperatorDerp's post on the legality of their pricing. They have acknowledged my email and will be responding by tomorrow.

Hey Steve, I'm SteamingSpoon, one of the people whose messages you screenshotted from the CS forum earlier. At this point I've realized it's nothing but futile to try and bring their habitual lies and false advertising to their attention on their forum. After all, it is their forum and they have the power to control what is said and not said on there. This in itself speaks to their affinity with censorship and suppressing any form of criticism that calls them out on their obvious lies and false advertising. However, seeing everything they're trying to get away with now, this censorship is probably the least of their crimes. I'm still in disbelief as to how people can fall for their pricing and marketing tactics. When they confirmed that there would be no specific engine expansions, I'm sure that led a lot of their customers to believe that they would be included at no extra cost as an update to the base pack sometime in the future. Seeing as how the 757 did include specific engine expansions this probably came as good news to a large portion of their customer base; maybe even as a much needed respite from their exorbitantly scammy pricing strategies. But lo and behold, there are no engine expansions, but variant expansions which include the engines. They're still locked behind a paywall. All in all, this means, and I can say this without any doubt whatsoever, that many customers ended up paying for a product they thought they'd receive at no extra cost in the future. CS intentionally dodged questions from concerned customers on their forums, keeping everyone in the dark up until now. I'm no lawyer, but this probably comes close to false advertising and misleading marketing territory. I can't help but feel bad for all those unsuspecting customers who probably thought they'd be receiving free expansions. I'm not sure if CS has any refund policy but I'm suspecting that they probably do, given they announced their expansion plans at a later enough date from their initial 'no engine expansions' announcement, allowing enough time for potential customers to be baited into their scheme. As someone else on here said, I'm speechless. Simply at a loss for words as to how a developer can get away with this in this day and age. A lot of companies before have gotten away with sketchy practices, but nothing even comes close to this (maybe with the exception of the FSL malware fiasco, but at least they apologized and removed it). I wish we could do something about this, but as you said before, this community simply isn't united enough to take a collective stand and boycott CS. People just want a 767 in their sims, and to a large majority of them a pretty looking exterior model is enough to justify spending any amount of money on it. I'm trying to get in touch with a member of the FSElite editorial team at the moment and can only hope a major source of Flightsim media such as them publishes some sort of opinion or even news piece bringing CS's practices to light. Till that happens, we can only hope.

Hello, Started up the most recent version of chaseplane and it seems it's no longer working correctly. My views are all messed up, none of my camera change/toggle buttons work and mouse pan isn't functioning either. Restarting chaseplane (sim running) doesn't work either as the app doesn't even start. I am not running the experimental version. Screenshot of incorrectly functioning MMB menu: https://imgur.com/vDcZ03q Log: (Removed Log)

Hey guys, Apologies if this has been posted here before (which I know it has - the threads are quite old, however, as they aren't in the context of v4). I currently run FSX: SE and have been for quite a long time. As FSX now is quite an old piece of software that many devs are choosing to drop, I'm deciding to finally make the move to P3D v4. However I have quite a few addons that I'm not willing to repurchase that run well enough on FSX (All PMDG products, for example). However, for new releases and products such as the FSLabs A320/319 (for which the 319 expansion isn't even available for FSX), I'm sure P3D is a better optimized sim. In addition to these, I have environment/scenery addons that are licensed for both FSX/P3D (Orbx global, most addon airports, REX SF3D, AS16). Would it be possible to install P3D on the same machine (and same disk) as FSX and reinstall all the addons common to FSX and P3D into the new P3D install? Would I run into problems here? If anyone successfully runs P3D and FSX side by side, please do let me know how you set it up. Thanks!

Hello, I've recently started experiencing a problem where the MD-11 stays offset from the NAV path to the right. I looked up the issue here and as per all the other suggestions ran Flight1's Registry Repair Tool, which should fix the issue. I flew a long haul from Frankfurt to Los Angeles - for the first 2 hours of the flight, the aircraft was perfectly on course. Through the polar and second half of the flight, though, it started to deviate off center to the right. Keep in mind, this was after I ran the Registry Repair Tool. Another thing I noticed is that it tended to first turn right despite a left turn on the NAV path and then correct itself - but it still ended up off center after these turns. One change I did make, however, was to replace the default FSX magdec.bgl with a new one suggested by Steve's DX10 Fixer after starting to use FSX in DX10 preview. I'm not sure if putting the original magdec.bgl would help, because all my other PMDG aircraft (747 v3, 777 and NGX) fly their LNAV paths perfectly. FSX SE, DX10 Preview Mode enabled Some other addons I run that might be relevant: Active Sky 2016 Active Sky Cloud Art ENVTEX Edit: I downloaded the updated magdec file from aero.sors.fr, if anyone knows the exact one I'm talking about. Thank You!

"MSG" Stuck mid-flight + Can't type in scratchpad
themasterWookie replied to iMoveQuick's topic in PMDG 777
Facing this problem right now! I can still use the F/O side FMC but can't type anything into the Captain's FMC. Just departed on a long haul flight so I don't really want to end the flight. Has anyone found a simple solution to this? Never faced this problem before. Up to date PMDG 777 (1.10.8414) and loaded the panel state from "777 Short". Edit: Saved and reloaded, works again. -
Violent jerk, spins, and total loss of control on final
themasterWookie replied to themasterWookie's topic in PMDG 777
There was no traffic at the arrival airport at the time I was landing. There was a 777 or some other heavy that departed about 20 or so minutes before I started my descent and I doubt that would’ve played a role because I’ve landed with the same Active Sky setup at airports packed with traffic. But obviously, I don’t really know anything about how active sky’s wake turbulence mechanic works so I’d say it could’ve been a one-off where AS somehow kept the Wake effects of departing aircraft for an extended period of time. I decided to drag the AS16 wake turbulence value all the way down to 0 and flew another flight. Landed perfectly with no issues along the way. Can’t really pinpoint the problem to the wake turbulence setting on AS, but I’d say it’s a potential solution. -
Hello, I recently had an experience in the 777 that I have never, ever had with any aircraft before, ever. So I was on a 5 mile final to my destination airport, fully established on the ILS and configuring for landing. I slowed to Vref + 5 as I always do and started extending the flaps on schedule. Only this time I got a bit distracted and didn't notice that the aircraft slowed to Vref much faster, possibly due to strong headwinds. Due to this, the aircraft reached its final landing speed while at flaps 20, and as soon as I spotted this I immediately extended flaps 30. Now, I do not believe that this slight delay in flap extension was the cause of what happened next as my airspeed was well above the stall redline on the speed tape and the aircraft was fully stable and showing no signs of excessive pitch up or loss of lift; but I thought I'd leave this in anyway in case it turns out to be relevant later on. Back to the story: I select flaps 30, and about a second later, the aircraft violently spins out of control and hits the ground. I heard the stick shaker for about a second before it impacted the ground. It all happened so fast (probably 2 seconds from fully stable and ILS established to 20 feet below the ground) I couldn't take any screenshots. Some more info about the situation: - I was at about 1500 feet RA at the time this happened - The autopilot was still engaged - The speedbrakes were armed and gear was down - I was on a 5 mile final to the ILS runway 28 at ImagineSim VIDP New Delhi - Sky conditions were foggy with low visibility, no icing conditions Addons used: -Imaginesim VIDP -FTXGlobal -AS16 with live weather, all turbulence settings at default values -ASCA with live theme updates enabled -Flying online with vPilot -ENVTEX PMDG 777-300ER v1.10.8414, FSX SE, Win10 64 Bit Has anyone experienced anything similar? I am at a complete loss for words right now.

ApplicationIdentity=381DF571ED60C2BD257C942B863BDC44 MetadataHash=770808649 As recommended in the CTD guide, I've always taken the necessary precautions to keep my FSX installation as clean as possible. I run FSX SE as an admin, have no unnecessary tweaks in the .cfg, etc. etc. The addons that I was using at the time the crash took place were: PMDG 777 Active Sky 16 Active Sky Cloud Art ENVTEX Orbx FTX Global FSUIPC (Licensed) FSDreamteam GSX Various addon airports from Aerosoft, FSDT, UK2K, ImagineSim that were activated but not in use at the time of the crash (route was NZAA-OTHH, and I don't have addon scenery for either except updated afcad files) The error was not caused by an OOM since I always run a VAS monitor alongside my sim and I had 1 gb left at around the time the crash happened. I have never encountered this particular exception code before. Unfortunately i cannot reproduce this flight as I have FSUIPC autosaves disabled and I didn't save mid-flight. Can anyone help me out and explain what this error represents? Is there a fix to it?
